I don't really know what to say about this. Yes it's awful but so is any prison. Americans have done far worse than this to people who we have captured through out history. So I don't see how this is any different to anything else we've done through out history.

Ideally I'd like to see all prisoners treated in human ways but we don't have that in many of our prisons.

where did I say anything about the armed forces? I said that Americans have a history of torture.

Good point. I agree that it wasn't something accepted publicly or politically accepted by the public in my life time.

And you are right it is scary that our country now sees nothing wrong with torture and is following the path that other countries have traveled.
