Star gazing

I'm looking for a good pair of binoculars to look at the night's sky (while I travel for work).  Any suggestions?

Telescopes are like crack, don't get hooked.

Having said that, are you traveling in your own vehicle or flying? A small Celestron would be superior to a binocs.
