That's why I only play Red Alert 2.  It's alternate history, so I don't have to deal with any politics stuff or unfortunate implications or harsher-in-hindsight things.

I've been trying to improve my cooking lately, so here's a quick but satisfying recipe that my family has perfected over the years:

I've only played 2. there is a political dimension in the first one? That's an old game though.

The first one is basically WWII but only in Europe and between Stalin and Western Europe (on paper, that seems lopsided, but apparently the Russians have better tanks, rudimentary nukes, and Tesla guns, so Russia starts with a huge military advantage slowly undone by spies/saboteurs and ultimately Einstein technology)  Fun game but an old one like you point out.  Fortunately, its remaster breathes a lot of new life back into it.

My joke was that the game series doesn't run afoul of anyone's political sensibilities and then immediately show the mission where the invading Russians destroy the Twin Towers, the worst act of terrorism on American soil.

Junk Fu.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

It's weird how people want movies to make sense.
