yeah agreed, my cat has had accidents around the house because she wasn't use to using a litter box (she's getting older so doesn't seem as bothered with running out in the garden as before), but I just gave her time, and now she does.
Really, your cat loves you, the hairballs and fur is just a thing all cat owners get use to.

Yep, that is so.  One thing I did not get used to--the offerings he brought in every now and again--dead mice and a bird or two.  Tolerated it--never accepted it.

No animal hath greater love, than that he brings his human some of his own kill.  I am a cat owned human ... no surprise.

yeah.. she pretty much owns me too, I come at her beckoned call, I feed her and she turns her nose up at it if she wants something else, I clean up her relief, and I can't pick her up, she has to come to me and rub her head on me to let me know I'm her monkey servant.

I never had that with her, she's never brought anything in. Even when I found her with what looked like a dead frog in the garden, she was his pawing it, and when she came in it stopped playing dead and hopped off.

Don't get me wrong.  I adore cats!  I really miss being owned by that glorious old guy.  I can still hear him coming in thru the 'doggie' door just jabbering away.  He could carry on a better conversation than most people.  I knew he loved to show off his prowess as a hunter by giving us trophies--just never liked that much.  But then, he never really cared if I liked it or not.  :)  He had a great attitude!

A couple of other reasons actually. We have my elderly father and step mother here and this particular cat has a habit of milling around under foot creating a real tripping hazard. I suspect we'll keep her, but I'm not even the one suggesting she goes.  Heck,  she's a wonderful foot warmer at night in bed.She doesn't budge till breakfast time
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

My mother's cat is constantly getting under her wheelchair ... and he knows he has nine lives, so live dangerously!
