well, you see, we have PROOF for the ocean, but there is no proof of any god or deity. Whats more, the ocean is not alive, and its true that we are all in the "real world", but what you don't seem to understand, is that the real "real world" does not have any evidence for god, nor does a god exist. also, the ocean in this is what i interpret to be the atmosphere, since it is all around us, and we do believe in that.

I like to use G-man as the best example of a theist who uses the 'burden of proof dodge' tactic. He's often calling out all atheists to prove to him that god doesn't exist, and yet when confronted on it for him to prove he does exist as he claims, he either keeps using the same fallacy, or tries to misdirect with trying to get people to best him in a rap battle.

While g-man is an extreme example of the levels of stupidity that work in christian society, it does work as a case study for every other christian, even the mild mannered one, who can never support their claims, but want everyone else to support the proof their beliefs not existing.

Genesis 3:8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

The answer is, Yes, a man CAN hide himself so that God can't see him. Hey, don't blame me for being the messenger, I'm just relaying what the Bible says.
