Hello all

Hello everyone. I discovered these forums while looking for a more adequate place to debate subjects of an atheistic nature, comment boxes on video sites limited to 500 characters gets old fast. So, here I am. I'm a 24 year old male from England and I've been an atheist all my life. I'm not a person who has never been introduced to God, rather the opposite in fact as I used to go to church every Sunday because of obligation to my scout group. I've done readings in church, sung hymns like everyone else, carried the flag on Saint Georges day, but at no point can I ever remember actually believing in the existence of a god.

I didn't choose to be an atheist, it's merely my default position. I'm the kind of atheist who can't believe in a god even if I wanted to, there's something illogical about it that just doesn't sit well with me. I'm a scientist by my nature and seek rational natural explanations to phenomena.

My interests are Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Biology, Entomology (pretty much all aspects of science), History, Electronics. I think it's safe to say I'm interested in pretty much everything, I always manage to find something interesting about each subject that captures my attention.

I'm not afraid of controversial subjects like religion, politics, or sexuality, etc, but I don't go out of my way to be controversial. That's me in a nutshell.
