I'm listening to BBC news about radicalization. IS looks to be operating like organized crime and using the same recruitment.

Prior to this, I caught some guy say something about thwarting thousands of plots. I don't know what the time frame is, but that's a pretty big racket.

I don't get micro-aggressed by what anyone might call me.  Are you currently a student at an American college?

Actually many American Christians feel that they are being attacked racially, because they see Christianity as White, and feel micro-aggressed by welfare mothers from the hood.
I don't really care what others call me either, but when government officials avoid addressing the ugly aspects of Islam for fear of being called a racist, we have a problem.  I don't have much hope of Western Europe hanging on to the culture I fell in love with as a young man.  Good news if you're a fan of the culture of Islam though

I'm an American Christian and went to Holy Thursday Mass last night.  I attended Mass with white, black, Hispanic, and Asian Christians and felt a social connection with every one of them.

I would suggest that Islam is not the only religion acting like 'organized crime.'  I'd suggest that all large organized religions act like organized crime.

I wish we atheists could be so sociable. It would also help us organize.

But what crime should we specialize in?  Oceans11 ripping off casinos?

Yes, way too many Islamophiles here.
Those who are not Islamophobes are not necessarily Islamophiles. I, for one, am neither.

1. I recognize that Islamic extremism is a great threat that needs to be dealt with. (The same is the case with any form of extremism.)

2. I also see Islam, as is the case with any religion, as a false belief.

3. I also recognize the fact that the overwhelming majority of Muslims are decent people with no desire to harm anyone, and indeed I have many friends and acquaintances who are Muslims of various stripes, from observant (but not extremist) to cultural (Muslim out of habit) to liberal (pork-eating and alcohol-drinking yet still mildly religious) to lapsed. I know that the reaction of these people when news of a terrorist attack is reported is often "God I hope it wasn't Muslims who did it!"

Well, yes. I do understand the need to reassure oneself about the moderate Muslims.

However, we must understand also, that no matter how many there are they are not helping Islam to get any better.
Simply because they cannot. Speaking out against Islam's teaching is very unhealthy.
Also the scriptures are against them.

The "extremists"  have all the money, weapons and power.
They are the ones who own Islam.
Not the moderates.

Yes, celebrate the moderates all you want. But it is not going to make any difference.

pr126, nobody gives a damn about changing your opinion. Without the few usual posters responding to your threads, most of them would fall flat.

Extreme criminals or moderate criminals ... humanity is a mess.  So if everyone isn't a moderate criminal, we should condemn the moderates for not being more extreme?  If the moderates went around exterminating the extremists ... then they would be the extremists.  The actual agenda for a misanthrope ... and I should know since I am one ... is the extermination of everyone.  Kill them all, let G-d sort it out.  I just don't want to spend the rest of my days whining, or exterminating.  I reject both alternatives.  I will remain a moderate criminal, and keep my head down as long as I can, thank you very much.

Of course you do. Otherwise you would not reply to my posts.
You are virtually stalking my posts.

Yes, that's generally how a forum works; you post, people respond.

If you are offended by people not sharing your opinion then I am sure there are plenty of forums out there that cater to your needs.

QuoteYou get this mainly on this forum due to a few assholes. I also post on other boards and you don't get that kind of vitriol from other atheists. My suggestion to you is to put these people on ignore... unless you enjoy this pointless pissing contest.

Asshole mode engaged; Seriously, you throw people on ignore and then continue to put them on blast any and every chance you get, thread after thread... the exact opposite of "ignoring" them. You are not putting them on "ignore", you are hitting the, "I can talk shit about you all I want without having the common decency of having to say it to your face." button. You are a petty little crybaby who is still obsessed with the people he is "ignoring" and only knows how to talk shit behind people's back. Grow a pair. Thanks :).

Wow, killing all those extremists is a pretty extreme thing for those moderates to be doing.

LOL. It doesn't work for you, apparently.

pr126

Warning! Could be offensive to some.

This is the kind of video where after watching it one has to find a safe place and curl up in a fetal position, rocking back and forth repeating the magic mantra "but most Muslims are peaceful, most Muslims are peaceful most Muslims are peaceful most Muslims are peaceful most Muslims are peaceful."

There, there. Feeling better?

...You really need to spend less time worrying about the Muslim hordes and more time worrying about your weak comeback game.
