Frontal lobe epilepsy. Evidence is in the hadits, describing the symptoms.
Plus malignant narcissism.
Towards the end of his life acromegaly

Being raised a Mormon I'm very familiar with narcissim.

Quite possible.

But that is part of the traditional career of a shaman.  They have some sort of mental illness, and recover into some alternative coping skill.

Nikos Kazantzakis portrayed Jesus as schizoid, in Last Temptation of Christ, and got excommunicated for it.

Speaking of illness in leaders ... does the promiscuity of Bill Clinton invalidate everything he did in office?  I wish!

Julius Caesar had epilepsy ... and was considered a god for it.

I would think it's all about the feeling of power. Having even a hundred followers is a potent incentive, for the prophet or messiah, to say or do whatever keeps those followers in awe of the alpha-goddog.

 Was Muhammad Schizophrenic?

I'll say, "No,"  but that doesn't mean he wasn't an asshole.

Sure.

You are going to have to speak up more, if you want to establish your bonafides on being a shrink, able to psych a patient who has been dead for 1400 years ;-)

He was a narcissist with delusions of grandeur, for sure. As are most cult leaders.

Probably similar for St. Paul too.  Not from hadith though lol. Road to Damascus and all that...
