A Knight's Tale

I probably won't finish it tonight, but I am really enjoying it so far. Don't know how it took me 30 years to finally get around to watching it.

Under the Skin, 2013 science fiction film directed by Jonathan Glazer and written by Glazer and Walter Campbell, loosely based on the 2000 novel by Michel Faber. It stars Scarlett Johansson.

I wasn't in the mood for a movie; however I couldn't top watching. Gave me 'Eraserhead' vibes at times. Johansson is not too hard to watch either...
:rockout:

Yeah I liked it too. It was harshly critcised in comparison with the book as usual.

I did not know why she was on Earth. At the end of the movie I didn't care why she was on Earth.

Because the earth is under our skin?

It's a very good movie.  I go to it every now and again when I need a little upbeat time.  I think the acting is good,  the music is great!, and the plot is okay (and I'm okay with that).  The evil bad guy is done in and the little guy with no chance to make good, does.  Nothing earth-shaking here, but it fits me quite well and it is one of my favs.

There are movies I used to like but one of the actors ended up being a dipshit later. "The Bounty" with Hopkins and...mmm Mel Gibson (aka suffering cheezus). Vangelis's soundtrack was so great. I tried to watch on it's own merit. Almost could.

BTW is it my imagination or is "The Blue Lagoon" a pedophile's best friend?

I've never seen it.  I'm actually embarrassed to say that.  Along those lines, have you seen Moonrise Kingdom?  It's not pedophilia, but a satirical take on kiddie porn.  It's worth a watch, with a serious cast being silly.  Like really silly.

I, too, used to like Mel Gibson with the Mad Max series one of my favorites.  Can't watch them anymore.  Same with Clint Eastwood.  Liked most of his stuff, but not now.  Hell, I don't even like empty chairs anymore. :))

OooK. Just googled. I didn't know about the movie Pretty Baby.

Blue Lagoon makes me think baout her mother. I don't know what was the boy's age. Another bad thing, we generally only consider the female part in this context.

I'd heard of it, mostly in research Shields's later movie, Tilt, which is kinda like The Wizard without Fred Savage and it's pinball instead of video games. It's terrible. Don't watch it. And even that movie weirdly sexualized an underaged Brooke Shields. I mean, jesus christ, Ken Marshal. She told you she was a virgin.

Boys have periods too (say all liberals).
