So...Aquaman.....really?  Some spoiler here.....so the dude can push a 150 million ton submarine straight up through the ocean to the surface but still can be knocked over by a regular guy?  Also, he jumps out of an airplane about a half mile up and slams into the dirt no problems but then falls down a cavern and is grasping onto the ledge? Wat? I mean...why is it always so hard for these "superheros" to dispatch regular humans with just a flick of a booger?

alas....I weep for real hero's....

welcome to the world of comic books.

On the fact of his powers, its been made clear from the comics aquaman's strength increases to almost superman levels while he's underwater.

Superman didn't kill Hitler. Reality would have intruded. Never get off the boat and never let reality intrude into a comic book movie.

Suspension of disbelief is a weird thing. Superman breathes ice, and no one questions it. But when he reverses the spin of the Earth and time moves backwards as a result, that's where I draw the line. lol

I think that's one reason I tend to prefer Marvel over DC. When two DC characters fight, the limitations of their powers aren't well defined. When Superman punches Zod through a building, I don't feel the impact of that. Marvel characters, on the other hand, are more easy to relate with. When they fight, the impact feels more real, IMO.

And he punched Hitler over five hundred times. But he didn't kill Hitler either.

I have seen Bird Box. It was OK, but ordinary. Apperantly, it is very popular.

It just made me think why on earth people gave that bad a reaction to Shyamalan's The Happening. It's basically the same idea in different context and his was better; also had a better message, lol.

Also that series called, You.
It's Gossip Girl with murder. It's bad. The main male and female characters are living a life in central New York that would require them to earn tens of thousands dollars a month.

She gets to be a TA and supposedly that saves her life, lol. But then she is graduated from Brown?! She is supposed to be a talented writer, but you'd doubt if she can write a paragraph and all she writes is about how his dad didn't care about her. And because of that she dates garbage rich guys who doesn't care about her blah blah.

He has a little book store, like the ones full of with used books in Brooklyn, but handles rare books and first editions. He is a serial killer.

People keep saying that it is an ironic work. LOL

In my defense, I was heavily hungover that day.
I lived through that one. It was banal and stupid. Other than that it was okay. But boring. I can't imagine anyone watching it twice.

Bumble-Bee. A funish little cute story, rather mindless entertainment...I do mean mindless as in you have to be mindless if you really enjoyed it. I mean they did it in an earlier episode but still FFS futuristic advanced robotic creatures need attack robot dogs? oy vey...ish.

TL;DW:  Films are dominated by realism - actors are attempting to portray real people (well...real people with great looks, fashionable wardrobes, flawless dialogue, etc) while Nick Cage is trying to portray someone larger than life, someone who's less of an actual person and more of a force of nature.  He looks and acts weird because we expect someone to act...well, normal (or at least Hollywood's version of normal)

In some kinky porn, you are transformed into an object, maybe a sexual object.  Those could be the real guys, in which case I hope they are only bought by gay men ;-))

Bohemian Rhapsody. Nope. Failure.

The kid gives a good performance, but other than that they failed at showing who Freddie Mercury is, what was Queen in my opinion. They made the actor say it a few times, but failed to show it. This man is one of the greatest performers of all time, not a self destructive something wanna be who missed what he aimed for. On the contrary, he nailed it before 40 and then died ffs. He didn't fail to do what he did because he cannot deal with his sexual identity, he did it despite of whatever he lived and felt about it.

We were chatting with my cousin about the movie and she said they actually declared that they were gonna change a lot of things to bost the story? But why? Queen doesn't need that. Freddie Mercury doesn't need that. Nobody needs to convince young generations to what Queen is or who Freddie Mercury was. It doesn't work that way. It's music. They listen it and either like it or don't. Also I doubt that there is anyone who really doesn't like Queen. I mean who would say, 'turn that shit off, I hate this music and what it represents'. Even this Bieber, Swift, Jonas whatever generations can't be that music deaf, can they?

Myeh. It annoyed me.

I was stationed in Sicily when Queen's first album was released. I bought it and was impressed. When I went home on leave I bought a copy for my sister and her SO. They were living at home until she graduated from high school. We were playing it when Mom came in and said "What is that!" Later I saw her dancing around to the music. I don't think she ever figured out what "Queen" implied there.
