I couldn't get interested enough to go to the theater, but I'm definitely going to rent the disk.  I don't think I've ever seen Lady Gaga, so I'm interested in that, and I also like about everything Bradley Cooper does.

You never saw Lady Gaga in her meat dress?

Don't do that.

I find the lack of Elvis and fanclub disturbing in Odd Thomas the movie.

I also find the bodachs to be less horrifying and more dumb when the bodachs "Kenw" that Odd can see them and not instantly die, but save it for the final battle. By gods, I say, this movie skips things and threads things together and leads fans on a sour note.

Stephen Sommers has lost his touch or lack of there of?

I give this movie a 4/10 and critics agree it's a bomb.

Lady Gaga has grown up a lot since she used to wear the meat dress and other outrageous costumes.  She is a very talented singer and can sing many genres of music well.

Off track..not a movie but watched my first episode of . Oliver or no. The Orville...some new age Star trekkish show. Had this guy what looked like the next version of the Klingons but in this one he and his partner appear to be maleish but either can also have children..er ....I think..Both the males were very ...er..manly and the one guy started having little tete's in the hologram room with other male-ish characters....realized I am not really into watching men getting busy...or even getting friendly. But when the one who was an officer asked another alien who were "known for their ability to produce top notch porn" I had to say..."adios".....I can handle some mild gay....but apparently not more than mild....even the less the better...sorry bout that.

Heh, I know exactly what you're talking about, even from that extremely vague and fragmentary summary.  Orville S2E2: Primal Urges.  That was a strange episode to be sure.  Not my cup of tea either, but I think it helped grow the character and resolve a couple lingering issues from S1S3: About A Girl.

I actually kinda liked that episode.  It had a lulzy Manslayer-ish vibe to it.  I dunno if @Munch watches The Orville, but I definitely think he would get a kick out of that episode!

I also really like that the holodeck/simulator room was used for what we all know it would actually be used for.  Damn TNG and their naive, vaguely puritanical view of human nature!  They know damn well no one would want to play Sherlock or Captain Proton except to bang Watson and/or Queen Arachnia.  Come on, you've all thought about it!

Every ensign's first thought when entering the holodeck:

In the movie trailer, she seemed very mature and down to Earth.

I saw Aquaman and it a passable superhero-action popcorn movie as long as you check your critical thinking skills at the door. I liked Jason Momoa and the underseas kingdoms. It borrows a lot from other action movies. The trench dwellers were cool and there is a scene with a nice nod to Lovecraft.  Atlantian guards give stormtroopers a run for their money for worst marksmen ever.

I believe the first time I realized I HAD critical thinking skills when as a boy I watched superman hold down a helicopter standing flat footed on the tarmac. Ummm how does THAT work? Krypton sticky shoes?

It's funny how the willful suspension of disbelief can be broken. In Aquaman, I accept there is a technologically advanced underwater civilization that can convert water into high energy plasma but think "no way" when a pirate completely redesigns that unfamiliar technology.
