QuoteEight years of one demographically-symbolic president is enough.

Unless he/she is a Republican; In which case, the argument would become null and void.

So much hate and which blocks the current president from doing anything.

Exactly. This much polarization is a boil on the ass of progress no matter what side of the fence the administration is on.
A cynical habit of thought and speech, a readiness to criticise work which the critic himself never tries to perform, an intellectual aloofness which will not accept contact with life’s realities â€" all these are marks, not as the possessor would fain to think, of superiority but of weakness. -TR

This is because money talks and BS walks. It has always been like this, different people but same players with our lives in their hands.

I know someone who keeps denying that the Republicans are the party of racism. I never run out of material to show him.

And yet people will vote for them, or vote for the democrats when it is so repugnant to most people how bad racism and bigotry are, and then the propaganda has worked to get their man or woman in office that protects the rich and super rich just like they want, as more wars are fought by the military complex that made them rich, and the working man still gets screwed. Good luck to all and good night. Solitary

It's like the birthers and Cruz. They'll say something stupid about race when the closet Muslim from Kenya is in charge with his "angry black wife," an sayd a stupid thing about women on the subject of Clinton but then cry and scream about how Palin or Carson is made fun of.

I don't know if its pure prejudice as much as it is pure stupidity.

Probably just good ol' fashioned double standards.  Sure, Obama is a Kenyan antichrist and in league with ISIS and the nazis and the commies, but if Dems take (comparatively mild) shots at their guys, it's liberal hate speech.

Come on guys, how is this not racism? He directly expressed entitlement. Entitlement. The root of all the same bullshit that prevents us from going forward an inch. Racism = Religion, nationalism = Racism.  It's an another way to say, he was an ornament, a PR, nothing functional. American people elected this man to be their president. He was chosen by the MAJORITY. Demographically-symbolic? What bullshit. He is basically saying, it is not just Obama that doesn't count, but also the election and the votes you cast do not count, because America voted for a black man.

There is no way to spin that in a politicaly correct way. Prejudice, double standards...sure these words could be used to describe the situation partially in context. However, prejudice is also something we all have against another without racial difference; double standards also exist without racism behind it. And are you telling me these people have not intentionally attacked Obama and his past because of his race? They didn't just attack him because he is from the other team, they declared him the adversary. Yeah it is absurd and funny, but it is also 'real' -as in perception management- for a big amount of people and they vote. They kept attacking that man and everything he did, because he is not white. The question of wether he was a good or a bad president is irrelevant at this point.

Why the word racism/racist is such a taboo? We all, yes almost ALL, are already racists in this way or another. And I don't just mean instinctive tribalism or choosing/focusing the one resembles your own. We are almost all, including nonewhites, are shaped to be racist against nonewhites. You think my expression is hyperbolic? Take the Harvard test. Be honest and instinctive. It has an ingenious design. Educated nonewhite people with a good standing in society cannot pass that test as not racist against nonewhites. Because that's human culture. Doesn't matter how elegantly you express, how politically correct you define it. Human culture is racist and it is predominantly racist against nonewhites.
