According to a new study there are to many scientific studies.

It seems like every time a new study hits us out of the blue. You need to drink more coffee one moment, the next you need to drink less. Lighter chocolate is better than darker, or was it the other way around? In short, scientists conclude there are too many studies. Yet a new study was necessary to point out this problem. We find this in an article of the newspaper 'Attention decay in science'.

Professors of Universities in Finland and California conclude that an exponential growth in scientific studies makes it encreasingly difficult to pick out relevant publications. In other words, there are too many studies; you can't see the forest because of the trees. Even experts have troubles with this.

Researchers claim that every year more and more scientific studies are added. The more are added, the less attention scientists can give each and everystudy. 'The articles about studies are being publicized faster, but dissapear from our attention span just as quickly. Experts can't keept track of all the information within their own fields of study' says the study.

The life expectancy of every study, tweet, fact or statement is very short. Because of the exponential growth of the amount of studies important information and data can get overlooked. This is in part due to the effects of the digital era on culture and the human brain. And yet this is the first study to show that scientists too suffer from too much information.

Finally, someone made that study.  Next we need a study of the value of studies that have determined there are too many studies.

That's already been studied and the conclusion is that there needs to be more studies about studying it. Then there needs to be study upon study upon study about the roll bullshit plays in studying this..
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

SGOS

I'm reminded of a scene in the movie, The Scarlet Pimpernel (the movie, not the TV series), where some prominent classical composer performs his latest symphony for the King of England.  The King is a very happy and likeable guy, but for some reason, he has to come up with a negative critique of the symphony.  I think he felt compelled to do this to show he was a discriminating lover of the fine arts.  The composer asks the King what he thought of his latest work, and the King struggles for a moment, and says, "Well, it was good, but not your finest work."  The composer, somewhat alarmed, asks, "But why was that your Highness?"  The King struggles some more obviously feeling pressured, and finally says, "Too many notes.  I believe it had too many notes."

The problem with most of all these studies is they are not double blind studies, nor scientific just because scientist do them. Most are based on statistical analysis or poor logic, which is like saying every time a rooster crows the sun comes up, or putting the cart before the horse, or the tail wagging the dog. Solitary
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.
