How about a consensus on God and Jesus, by agreeing that Jesus represents Justice.
And stopping all slamming between theists and nontheists by agreeing on this meaning.
Would that be cool to call a truce?

You ma'am are daft. Why would any non-Christian agree to that?

Okay. How about a trade? I'll agree that Jesus is justice (whatever that actually means), but you have to agree that He-Man represents love. In fact, we'll start a pointless pantheon of mythical characters representing different concepts like the Greek gods of old. I think Garfield the Cat can be lust (for obvious reasons). Data (from Star Trek) is beauty and fertility. Axel Rose represents fiscal responsibility. Strawberry Shortcake would be pain.

Feel free to add to this grouping of mythical characters.

I found Jesus the other day. He was trimming my neighbor's hedges.
I know an artist based out of NYC that is an amazing painter. Met him at an art show.

1. non-Christians can then ask not to be judged solely on the basis of being Christian or not.
That is not the requirement. For secular gentiles, the understood and agreed factor can be
restorative justice and that doesn't necessarily require following the Bible.
Restorative Justice can be practiced using Constitutional and natural laws.
as long as it doesn't go AGAINST the Bible and reject or violate standards,
then it is perfectly fine to use the equivalent secular laws
such as against murder for example or Buddhist laws against killing.

2. if those are YOUR symbols then yes YOU can agree to use whatever YOU want to use.
you can be as individualized as you like and that's still YOUR free exercise of religion
and YOUR freedom of speech and equal representation.

in the environment of complete honesty and transparency, people tend to be honest.
if "making up stuff" is not going to get you what you want, then there is no reason to go there.

as long as you can Communicate and ALIGN your symbols you pick
with other people, that's fine. What I find is the more forgiving/honest you
are, you are treated and received the same. If you play games, then you
attract people who play games. So if that's the way you want to interact,
some people need it to be more fun and don't want it dry and academic.

Whatever floats your boat, but you will find yourself in the company you attract and keep.
so if you want to interact with people who take this lightly and make fun out of it,
that's great. I'm sure others will want to be in that "fun" group and not the boring
group with academic and political leaders forming a serious consensus on policies.

Thanks for the reminder people need different approaches.

Do you have any links? Do you equate or relate the artistic or creative process
with anything that other people call "divine inspiration."

Here is the website to a favorite online artist: http://julianbeever.net/

I do believe that art is "divinely inspired"
If you don't call this "divine" what do you call it? Just creative inspiration?

People are judged on their actions, not their beliefs.

I don't disapprove of christianity because its followers believe that they will go to heaven.

I disapprove of christanity because of things like this.

I was a professional graphic artist, fine artist, and illustrator most of my life when I was younger. I can assure you that I wasn't divinely inspired having been an atheist since I was six years old. I was also a professional card carrying musician when I was 15. Music may be able to calm my savage breast, but it has nothing to do with the divine. God is an imaginary entity like every other imaginary creature, some that are in the bible, like talking serpents, burning bushes, and donkeys, and other gods that God talked to. I know you are trying to bring superstitious people and atheists together to form a consensus, but they are mutually incompatible. Superstition is based on magical thinking, faith without reliable evidence, and not questioning authority, as well as believing one has knowledge when all they have is ignorance. Atheism is based on sound reasoning and questioning authority, even science, and especially philosophy. As long as religious people are willing to die or kill for their beliefs, they will never come to consensus with atheism which would not. Solitary
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

You're not showing me the Love that Garfield has clearly laid out for all of us. Only through Cat the Garfield may we truly know love. If you don't at least agree that Garfield is the True Path to Love, we'll never Truly be able to communicate as He the Cat heals spirits in oneness to one all. If everyone were to just accept Cat the Garfield we could cure hunger through the love of us all and come together in oneness to agree that love is the only way in the world to feed the hungry. I want to study love in order to show everyone, even those that don't believe in Garfield, that love being given to us by Garfield feeds the hungry.
