Over the years, we had two bats fall out of our clinic ceiling.  They broke in and starved.  Bad timing, they never did this on Halloween.  They didn't even try to get in the ladies hair.

I'm old enough to remember a time when clowns WERE part of entertainment, at circuses and carnivals. Even when IT came out on tv, or the fucked up story of john wayne gacy was made public, it hadn't yet made clowns into something everyone should look at with distrust or the uncanny valley feeling.
The internet really got this thing going hard on fearing clowns more then seeing them as childish entertainment,
