Jesus didn't have a philosophy because apparently he, and everyone else during his lifetime were incapable of recording anything he taught or said. It wasn't until decades later that the books in the NT were written. Therefore it's all hearsay.

So, anything attributed to him would be conjecture. So, it isn't his philosophy, it is theirs but attributed to him.

And I know plenty of people who say the opposite. For many years I was of the same mind as your friend but I was convinced, by a Jew (American), I was wrong.

I'm sure it's still debatable. I, personally, don't care.
