Not really. His faculties seemed to be slightly skewed, in that he doesn't register when he is mocked per se or that he is even losing an argument. Much of his ego is shielded by a rather prevalent delusion.

I wouldn't start becoming concerned until he convinces himself that prayer is better than medical care. By then, he'll become another statistic to add to those who thought faith healing would cure their cancer or ward off viral pneumonia. When that happens, he can collect his Darwin Award and fall in rank with countless others clouded by religious delusions.
