Idealism is bad

I, too, find idealists very very frightening people. Whether they are religious or political idealists generally suspend all semblance of rational thought and will happily lie in order to convert people to their cause. They think any sacrifice is acceptable even to the extent people dying 'for the cause'.

Christians, Muslims, Marxists, Fascists, Patriots, Multiculturalists, Feminists and 'anti racists' all demand we abandon independent thought and accept outright lying in the name of their cause. They support thought control and oppose free speech.

If everyone were to have the same salaries, we become equal.
Equality means we all share the same duties towards the common good of society.
That means we should give up our identity and differences. The problem with equality is that you cannot prioritize your own values.

Pretty sure there's a couple of non sequiturs in this passage.
