Socialism and Christianity, to my mind, are not egalitarian. They don't advocate equality between the rich and poor, the strong and the weak. Rather, they propagandize the supremacy of the weak and the poor.

"The meek will dominate the Earth" has connotations that are different from "The meek will inherit the Earth," but it is obvious that the meaning is the same. Likewise, Marx speaks constantly of the importance of the workers "owning" and "controlling" the means of production, replicating the paradigm of the capitalist bourgeoisie that he claims to despise. Marx, I would say, is more explicit, since he openly advocates a "dictatorship of the proletariat." If one does not want any kind of dictatorship at all, well, according to him, that's just bourgeois prejudice.
?"Belief is always most desired, most pressingly needed, when there is a lack of will." -Friedrich Nietzsche

Ideals are imperfect. Morals are self-serving.
