The party is struggling to find its path forward and another Republican makes Rush an honorary Texan. You think that is moving forward? I guess it would for any republican. Good luck in the next presidential election with that one. Solitary

PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Hispanics in the United States are more likely to identify with the Democratic Party than the Republican Party, a Gallup poll found.

The poll, which was conducted between June 13 and July 5, found that 64 percent of U.S.-born Hispanic people and 57 percent of Hispanic immigrants are identify as Democrats or Democratic-leaning, Gallup reported.

And what with the gender gap, near total lack of black voter support, the youth vote and more, looks like a dismal 2016 election for  the GOP.

The Christian church, in its attitude toward science, shows the mind of a more or less enlightened man of the Thirteenth Century. It no longer believes that the earth is flat, but it is still convinced that prayer can cure after medicine fails.

I guess this pre-boomer senior was a bit (like half a century) ahead of the curve.  I never left the GOP because I never agreed with enough of their platforms to join them.
