This stuff is kinda hard to understand, but I do know that scientists are getting closer of how the universe came to be.

I do not think it is complicated, it is very simple in the sense that i think of cos, sin and tan.  Think of photons, as a particle goes through the wave it transforms from particle to particle. Certainty the particle can not remain the same as the forces in the field change and intersects, what I am more interested is how this observation came to be. How exactly did we communicate with our physical world. SO much to learn in physics, it will be fun for a while....

Neutrino oscillation was theoretically predicted in the late 1950's. Unsuspectedly, we didn't know how far these transformations could take place. Such discovery at that one in the article might lead to physics beyond the Standard Model.
