I also avoid "ordinary" people - the trouble is they're all ordinary, at least the ones I've encountered. Any interaction with people in meat space is uncomfortable for me, but I learned long ago that some interaction is unavoidable, so I get through it as if I was totes comfy with it, because otherwise I'd draw attention to myself, which I loathe doing. I keep the lowest possible profile, and dislike attention.

See, most of what you'd said there is what they believe, and they can believe whatever they want, but when you cut through the bullshit, they're just nerds with no social skills, no desire to learn and blaming everyone but themselves for how shit they are. I feel you man. Early to late teens I was an anti-social, fat nerd with lackluster hygiene and a superiority complex. And not having friends and being made fun of, in my little mind, couldn't possibly be my fault.
It wasn't until I accepted that I was as shallow and uninteresting as I held others to be, that I became happier. I had to accept I was miserable and far from perfect, before I could start working on me and actually grow into a better version of me and be content.
I still want to punch 15-year-old me in the face, if I could. Shit's gonna haunt me forever. But as bad as it was, it's good to remind how much we've grown since then.
