Is reality on the surface of art? Is creating art like printing money?

All art is sublime.

All art is sublime.

What is communication?  Art is communicating creativity.  From the artist's mind (mostly emotions) to your mind.  An artist is someone with both an ego and a scratch that has to be scratched.

"The theory of sublime art was put forward by Edmund Burke in A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful published in 1757. He defined the sublime as an artistic effect productive of the strongest emotion the mind is capable of feeling."

This is why Jackson Pollock isn't an artist ;-)

Fractals are beautiful calculations.

Not when done by monkeys spattering paint randomly.  Fractals still don't match reality, which is analog and random (like Jackson Pollock paintings).  We like some degree of order.  Classical = obvious order.  Fractal = subtle order.

Only if you believe in absolute determinism.  I do not.  With absolute determinism, there is nothing random.

Non-random local art ...

Art is determined by the artist, it is not accidental.

No, art is only valuable after the starving artist has died ;-)

When I hear "God" or "G_d" or any derivation of said word, I think scam or flim flam man.
