Launched into a new game--for me anyway--Borderlands 3.  And I am doing it solo.  So far so good.  But this is a deep and complicated loot based game.  I'll be at it for awhile.

I just made my most devious MTG deck yet.  It's so aggravating and frustrating to deal with, it's so great.

I'll briefly explain so people who don't even play MTG can understand.  Normally, MTG players take turns playing bigger and better creatures, which they use as their personal armies and beat the stuffing out of the other player.  That's what happens 90% of the time.

My deck destroys this mechanic.  Instead of playing creatures, my deck causes creatures to lose effectiveness and eventually become liabilities.  I force my opponent to use more and more resources to preserve their creatures from destruction.  I regularly force them to pay life or sacrifice their creatures.  If they pay enough life, they lose the game.  If they sacrifice all their creatures, they also lose life, which causes them to lose the game.  It's lose/lose.

For those in the know: Vile Consumption, Ensnaring Bridge, Pendrell Mists, Torment of Scarabs, Propaganda, Bloodchief Ascension, etc.  Fun stuff.

Actually just started playing BL3 again a week or so ago; the comedy isn't quite as good as the second (although I disagree with people who act like it was a massive step down) and the gameplay is good.

I love looters, so Borderlands has always been a favorite of mine.

I love looters, too.  But I only play solo.  That was a problem in BL2.  I put in over 2,000 hours trying all the characters and using the 'for sure easy for solo builds'.  Could not beat the big bosses--and not from lack of trying.  In BL3, I've taken Zane to just about the end and have died very little-and usually from stupid mistakes.  Solo is very viable and I am loving it.  Only have 300 hours in, so with 4 characters who have 3 trees each, I have a long way to go. :))

Replaying Bioshock: Infinite and my god the graphics have held up so well, it's still one of the most beautiful games around imo.

My play through several years ago I thought the graphics were very good.  I enjoyed the odd twist the game gave us and the story was pretty good, as I remember it.  Don't know when I'll get to a replay anytime soon.

Finished tlou2

I know reviews and reception on this game has been polarizing.
Personally, i thought it kicked ass.

I'll admit, i wasn't privy to the entire 'plot twist' from the change of the trailer qnd thus did not feel mislead.
But man, this is a king amongst games.

Giving Skyrim another go.

First order of business, partially rolling back an official patch so that the game is still compatible with SKSE, which is necessary for a slew of mods.
Translated for non-gamers:  I basically have to jam a crowbar into the engine block of my car before I can put sweet rims on it.

*installs a bunch of mods that make the enemies more aggressive and challenging*

My character within the first couple of minutes:

I added a bunch of immersion mods, and by Akatosh, does it look beautiful now.  My comp is only slightly better, but the game runs and looks much, much better.  It's like I'm walking through an actual living, breathing town surrounded by an actually wild wilderness.  If it gets more immersive, I might just buy a room in Breezhome (I can't afford the Cloud District) and escort traveling merchants for a living.
