Lock him up! Lock him up!

We don't have to rely on just the aura of scumbaggery and asshattery exuded by the Orange Disaster Area; there are several serious allegations being made against him that, if true, constitute not just criminal activity but an explicit breach of the Constitution.

These three are the most serious, I think:

  • You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, particularly now that his former attorney Michael Cohen has stated they were directed by Trump himself, and AMI -- parent company of the National Enquirer -- is corroborating his testimony.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login; one cannot help but wonder what (else) lurks in their safe.
  • The closure of the Trump Foundation under the supervision of the New York attorney general’s office. The investigation is ongoing; the AG described the foundation as “You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.”  Additionally, he can't pardon himself or his spawn (or spawn-in-law) out of this one -- it's a state case, not a federal one.
  • The You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login spearheaded by the DC and Maryland attorneys general.  This is a particularly interesting one, since if proven, it’s an explicit violation of the Constitution.  I can’t think of anything more obviously impeachable than that.

And still lurking is the Mueller investigation, which has yet to level specific allegations against Lord Dampnut so I don't include it above.  The firing of FBI Director Comey may or may not have been unethical, but it wasn't so far as I know illegal — Comey was an employee of the Executive Branch, and serves at the pleasure of the chief executive.

Of course, Congressional Republicans You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.  Even though we all know that they would have started impeachment proceedings against a Democrat based on just the allegations, never mind facts and investigations, of any one of these.

Yes, is anyone surprised by the corruption?  But isn't this the Clinton playbook too?  See, I don't love corruption either, but I would commit genocide over partisanship.  Not a puritan on morals ... just don't like it in high places.  If the Clintons and Trumps were slum dwellers ....

Frankly, I wouldn’t mind if there were an anti-Viagra, something with the opposite effect. I’m not bragging. I’m just lucky. I don’t need it. I’ve always said, "If you need Viagra, you’re probably with the wrong girl."'

What Clinton "corruption" is that?  Remember, you will be asked to produce your evidence and if you start citing Breitbart you are going to get flamed.

After 7 failed Benghazi investigations the republicunts wasted another $7 million on yet another one.  But I imagine that is your idea of "good government?"
The Christian church, in its attitude toward science, shows the mind of a more or less enlightened man of the Thirteenth Century. It no longer believes that the earth is flat, but it is still convinced that prayer can cure after medicine fails.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

This is the Political/Government General Discussion area, you know.  You might have a point if I had put it elsewhere, but I didn't.

LOL  I heard about this yesterday on NPR.  While we've heard these allegations since before Trump was elected, this is the first formal action taken by a government agency that I know of, albeit a state government.  Well, OK, congress has had their investigations to show the public that they are doing something.  This almost sounds like a States Rights issue taking on the Fed, so I'm doubtful that it goes anywhere.  But the funny thing is, I knew right away it would show up in the forum, and my first thought was wondering how soon Baruch would turn this into a condemnation of Hillary in attempt to deflect the issue away from his beloved hero <See reply #1>.  Now it doesn't take a fortune teller to predict that, but it still makes me chuckle.
