QuoteThis in-depth investigative documentary traces the secret history of the Bible like never before. Scholars shed new light on translation errors, misinterpretations, political changes, and archeological discoveries that have unraveled the many mysteries of Christianity which has evolved into over 200 religious sects, each with differing beliefs. This film does not debate the issue of faith. However, after watching this film, you may never look at the history of the Bible in the same way again.

No scripture is written by G-d.  And impossible to show if it is inspired by G-d either, or just someone's craziness.  This is a very old meme ... the original Sumerian Gilgamesh epic was supposed to be written on a tablet of lapis lazuli.  The original Quran is supposed to be of gold, and in Heaven.  The Declaration of Independence is sealed under glass, revered for some odd reason or another.

At one time, most people were illiterate, and considered writing to be magical, since it was associated with charms and talismans you could buy down at the market, much as newspaper horoscopes still are.

But however imperfect, some writing will be held in high esteem by some people, Mein Kampf for example ;-(

Funny, you two call other people, morons.

Half the population is dumber than average, and (I'll get in real trouble for this, but what the heck) the next 20% isn't all that bright either.  It isn't that most people slightly of above average intelligence can't think but that that they seem to busy to try.

And that is the sad thing.  Being able to and not...  But isn't that the same as "can't"?  So, functionally, they aren't.

A bit too pessimistic about the Gaussian curve.  80% are in the middle, and 10% at the low end (they need help) and 10% at the high end (we need to not impede them).
