Belgium is still there.  The Germans were a temporary setback.
The Christian church, in its attitude toward science, shows the mind of a more or less enlightened man of the Thirteenth Century. It no longer believes that the earth is flat, but it is still convinced that prayer can cure after medicine fails.

OK, show mw where to find them and I'll ask them.

They died in the shelling.  Check a Belgian military cemetery.  All the agreements by all the worthless monkeys in the world are worth ... not much.  Business partners just like that too.

Minimalist - I will accept Mr Obvious' view.  Since he is Belgian.  Your view is of minimal value.  Perhaps the Kaiser should have won.

Have I said that?
come now, Baruch.  Have you said that????!!  All the fucking time.  You cannot shutup about your fav punching bag--Hilary.  And Obama is a close second.  You drone and drone and rattle and rattle on about them--I guess you think you are making sense.

Just poking the cultists.  The Rajneesh would be proud of you folks.

I don't mind people picking on Trump ... but my complaint is the infantile quality of it.  There hasn't been any adulthood here since early 2016.  Y'all should stick to Bronies and Anime porn.

So find somewhere else to spew your blatherskite, Baruch, where the people are less juvenile.

Big words for a senile posting.  Most people here are older than me.  So not juvenile, its senile.

Sorry?  Hardly.  And she does not have what she deserves--yet.  A jail cell would be good.  As an illegal immigrant she landed on her feet pretty well--maybe not legally, but that's how trump does business.  But sort of like the coat she made famous--do I really care??  She is a piece of shit just like her master.

What Melania DESERVES is a long lifetime with a despised and outcast and rapidly screaming Donald for agreeing to be a "Trophy Wife".  And them both being broke...

But I don't think she is involved in any of the details of The Donald's elicit enterprises.  That dishonor and pain should go to Ivana, Donald the Lesser, etc of the kids.

Baruch has rare moments of insight.  I think there was one a few years ago, but I could be wrong.  The problem is that he has invested so much time here seeking titles that he doesn't really care what he says, so long as he says nothing often and thinks in his mind that he is clever.

More clever than you can ever hope to be.  Wasn't your recreation, playing with that magnetic paper clip thingy on your desk at work?  I prefer the V hung steel balls going click-clack.

You have NO IDEA!  I am reminded of one of my younger brother's monster magazine, whey promoted a bad sci film with Buddy Hacket.  "The dragon's claws go snicket-snacket.  But the dragon's dragging, will Buddy Hacket?"

No, I did not spend my time in the office  playing with the V-strung balls.  I worked for a living.  I figured out how to get telephone call data off mag tapes into a database and the "experts" didn't.  So they dragged me around the GOVT to show other agency people how to.

Some of them paid attention and reduced their telephone bills by $100,000s, like I did.  I saved the GOVT $1,ooo,ooos per year.

And when I retired, I asked for no stupid party.  On my last day. I packed up the personal stuff from my cubicle and walked out.  I was the last to leave my office each day, so I turned off the lights and locked the door.  I packed my stuff in the car I did get a parking spot that day).  And when I got home that day, I told the cats (Skeeter and LC at the time) "well, I'm home forever".

I was told by coworkers that Management had to eventually assign 4 people to do what I did.  I wasn't surprised.  Itold Management before I left that "you aren't going to get another me".  And they couldn't.

Some people can play musical instruments wonderfully.  Some people can add numbers in their head.  Some people can play games astonishingly well.  And no one is amazed when they are hard to replace.  My office learned that I was, after I left

And retired to sleep full nights of sleep after 35 years of 6 hours per night (and I haven't caught up yet).

And now I get snarky crap from you!  And I don't mind.  I did what I did and have the good memories.  But what do YOU have?

Happy thoughts, Baruch.

Well we should all have happy work memories ... when we retire.  Maybe not so much when we still have to go to work on Monday ;-)  I miss work when not there, mostly because I love being around young people.  Some of whom are now young enough to be my grandchildren.

I am very fortunate.  Like you did, in spite of the bureaucracy, I love my work (as a contractor, not a GS) for the Federal Government.  There have been times in the last 41 years (32 of which is in government support) that I have not enjoyed my work.  But the last 22 have been the best.

I still, after 12 years retired, wake up at the usual time and think I must get up to go to work.  And my usual dreams involve being at the office wishing I could retire (because the dreams are non-sensical.    I've even had a few mornings where I got up and dressed thinking I was still working.

Thank "god" I wasn't, LOL!  Lifetime habits are hard to break.  Can't wait to see what you make of that.

But most times, my dreams have all my previous cats in them and weird unending apartments.

Maybe I think I'm The Donald.

Well I have to sometimes get down on my knees to reach things, and that is getting harder ...

Since we have constant rotation of military personnel, if one of them annoys you, they will go away soon anyway.  With civilian personnel, you just have to be open minded, compromising, know where to draw the line, but play fair for win-win.

Depends on what you are reaching for at the feet.  Socks or toenails.  I'm still at the socks level.
