LoginOne of his inbetween the scenes where he talks to the audience "off camera" (T.V. wise), and he just absolutely nails it. A couple of good points...
"It's a thing people take for granted... Trump's most powerful tool is that he knows how to wield victimhood. He knows how to offer victimhood to the people who have the least claim to it. The real victims of the #MeToo victim are men... there are alot of men who will take that message to heart."
"What do you mean #MeToo has gotten out of control? We look through it, it's been maybe a hundred something people who have been held accountable. A hundred something. They make it sound like all men have been accused, but 99.9% of men haven't been accused. But the narrative has been made that it's all men that have been accused. But they make it feel like alot of people, because then what they do is they create an idea that all men need to band together because it could happen to you, and then men become victims. Because if you can convince men that they are the true victims of the me too movement, you get men to fight against a movement that is made to hold bad men accountable."
"It's you who is the real victim. It's not the refugee from Syria, it's you whos gonna get blown up by a terrorist bomb! It's you who is the victim!"
My only disagreement is that he is focusing on Trump, when in truth this is par for the course with a large swath of politicians and "alt-right" bigots... that they scream about how everyone else wants to play the victim card while it is they themselves who paint themselves (and other white men) as the ultimate victims who are losing their way of life, their culture, their country, whatever.
edit - one more great quote from the video...
"But if you can convince people that they are the victims when they are from a position of power, you have the most powerful tool that you can use. And the irony is those people who are in those positions want the people who are genuinely the closest to victimhood to relinquish their victimhood to join their "team".
