United States Ranked 10th Worse Nation For Women
« on: June 29, 2018, 07:59:34 PM »

In a poll of 548 researchers evenly distributed across the continents, the United States was ranked the 10th worse country for women, with our sexual and domestic violence rankings amongst the worst in the world.

he United States ranked as the 10 most dangerous country for women, the only Western nation to appear in the top 10. The United States shot up in the rankings after tying joint third with Syria when respondents were asked which was the most dangerous country for women in terms of sexual violence including rape, sexual harassment, coercion into sex and the lack of access to justice in rape cases. It was ranked sixth for non-sexual violence.[/c]

When people say that women in the United States don't have anything to bitch about, or that feminists are being overdramatic and, "OMG WHAT ABOUT SAUDI ARABIA!", tell them where they can shove it. Yes, we aren't as bad as Saudi Arabia... but the fact that we are close is fucking embarrassing.

Life for women is hard anywhere, always has been.  And they will be happy to tell you all about it.  Commiserating ... they want you to be as miserable as they are.  I really don't care what any poll says about anything or anyone ... total false news.  Move to Somalia if you like it better there.

The good news is that maternal mortality rates are declining worldwide. The bad news? The situation for women in the United States is a glaring exception. And in Texas, where clinics serving women have shuttered and their health interests have been battled all the way up to the US Supreme Court, the rate of pregnancy-related deaths more than doubled over the course of two years.

...

Of 183 countries and territories studied from 1990 to 2013, only 17 saw maternal mortality rate percentage increases, the World Health Organization report "Trends in Maternal Mortality: 1990 to 2013" showed. In the United States, the maternal mortality rate grew by 136% over those 23 years, more than any other country studied.

I have my doubts about the methodology of the study, but at the end of the day the United States is getting worse and worse for women rather than better, and that really should not be a "left", "social", "feminist" issue but rather an everyone issue. The fact that our domestic abuse numbers are equivalent to Middle Eastern numbers, or that we are regressing in terms of women's health and women's rights, should concern everyone.

Yes, since about 1970 (thanks to generation 60s) the US has been getting poorer, for almost everyone.  There is hardly any blue collar work, and the white and pink collar work has been wage suppressed since Reagan.  This negatively impacts women and children ... the men are simply killing themselves.  Of course it didn't help that the 60s brought marriage destroying feminism and maturity destroying spoliation of the children.

Greening of America? ... been saying no since 1970.  The ongoing subversion by the Soviet Union, Red China, and Castro's Cuba continues.  All Fifth Columnists ... are traitors.

Probably Somalia isn't your style.  That is for the bat shit capitalists who hate all government.  Socialists love government, as long as it is their "one party".

People who have never lived in Scandinavia/Finland who think it is paradise should move there.  Much less desert like than Somalia too.

pardon me, but why were all the other countries on that list of worst places to live for woman glossed over and only focused on america?

just seems like it be an interesting question as to why women in those other 9 countries have it pretty bad.

ardon me, but why were all the other countries on that list of worst places to live for woman glossed over and only focused on america?

Honestly dude, what answer do you want me to give? I have answered this time and time and time again, but I'll go ahead and throw the several reasons out there yet again...

1. I am an American. Hence American politics and American society is more relevant to me than Somalian, Yemeni, Indian, politics. I am more than happy to talk politics or social issues within those societies, but they are not things I am going to go out of my way to look up unless it is something really drastic (the gang rape and murder cases in India, the civil war in Syria, shit like that) or I just randomly catch an article on it that looks interesting.

If you want to start threads on those topics, I am more than happy to read them and discuss them if they catch my interest. Just because I make a thread on one topic is not stopping you from starting a thread on another if you find it worth discussing.

But I don't even get particularly involved on here in British politics or society, and they are arguably about as American as you can get without being American. The few I do get involved on are again more prominent and out-of-the-norm stories, generally with ramifications towards me (Brexit and xenophobia cases) which ties into one of my next answer.

2. Shitty as it may be, women having terrible living standards in Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Nigeria is par for the course. We know why women are treated badly in those countries; religious oppression, social oppression, poor economies, war, and so on and so forth. These countries all share either the fact they are a theocracy, poor as fuck or are war torn countries, or all three.

The United States does not particularly fit any of those criteria. We are one of the richest nations on Earth, our wars are fought on foreign soil rather than our own, and while one of our major parties is about as close to a theocracy as you can get... I like to think that we are nowhere near the theocratic level of a place like SA or Pakistan.  So when we are that much different from the others, it's shocking to see us ranked as poorly as they are.

Let me put it this way; if a Ferrari, a Lambo, an Aston Martin, and a guy on a pogo stick set the fastest laps around a race track, would you say, "pardon me, why are all the other vehicles on the list glossed over and you are only focusing on the guy on the pogo stick? Is it because you hate pogo sticks?"

Like, no, it's because it's a dude on a fucking pogo stick... and no, it's because we are arguably one of the most powerful and wealthy nations to ever exist in human history, and yet in terms of treating our citizens with respect we are being compared to "shithole" countries. When something out of the norm happens, people focus on it. We are as out-of-place being compared to fucking Somalia and Pakistan as a pogo stick is being compared to a Ferrari, and yet here we are.

And you are 100% free to ask that question, or look into it yourself; I even posted the link that goes directly to why those countries ranked the way they did. It's not like that information is being withheld, and I assume everyone here is aware of many of the reasons those countries are ranked very poorly for women.

I just don't buy for a second that you actually find that question interesting, but rather find that question a convenient way to try to distract from the actual issue being discussed, because if it's not "the other guy over there" doing something wrong than your not interested in hearing about it, but even more importantly don't seem to want anyone else to talk about it either.

Psychological projection;

Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.[1] For example, a person who is habitually intolerant may constantly accuse other people of being intolerant. It incorporates blame shifting.

According to some research, the projection of one's unconscious qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life.[2].

Things are pretty bad for women in Egypt, their sexual harassment in public is way up over the past generation.

Liberals have seized the commanding heights of the moral high ground by presenting themselves as the protectors of minorities and vowing to replace one racist system with an equally racist, anti-racist system. But caste systems aren't just black and white and the rainbow coalition has internal conflicts. What do liberals do when different groups within the rainbow coalition conflict and how do they make that determination?

It's not a new question. Black men got the vote before white women did, and that very issue led to a heated debate over universal suffrage in the Fourteenth Amendment, which was written to include black men, but exclude women. Suffragists were told in Fredrick Douglass' words, "This is the Negro's hour." To explain why that was the hour on the clock, Douglass brought out what would become the Victim Value Index.

"When women because they are women are dragged from their houses and hung upon lamp-posts... then they will have the urgency to obtain the ballot equal to our own," Douglass sneered. Women had been dragged out of their homes and subjected to horrors because they were women for far longer than the brief few centuries of African slavery in America, but Douglass' real point was, "My suffering beats your suffering, so my rights beat your rights." In contemporary progressivism this is expressed in the sneering "White Women's Tears" meme.

Quote
September 11 and its aftermath is why Muslims have gone to the top of the Victim Value Index. The left may swear up and down that they are interested in Muslim civil rights, but if the Muslims were Sikhs, they would merit a place somewhere in the back. Before Muslims began prominently blowing things up in the United States, the left barely paid any attention to them. Once they did, they began outweighing every other group in the country because killing 3,000 people is the gold standard of revolutionary mayhem.

Women aren't a minority, numerically.  In many places Muslims aren' a minority.  Atheists and gays usually are a minority in most places.  I don't have much worry for women or Muslims being oppressed.

But remember, politics is just social psychology ... and a mentally diseased body politics is just that.  Ultimately a medical problem.  I consider much of the revolutions to be ergot induced.  That and yeast infections in women.
