A Simple Bad Poem...
« on: June 25, 2018, 09:29:04 AM »
There is a place in my mind
Where logic rules and facts define.

Where stupidity is recognized
As false and it should be denied.

Where observations lead to truth
And excitations are for youth.

And in my elder years I find
A solid calmness, of a kind
That passes off the stress of  those
Who cherish anger in their mind
And don’t abide the stupid fucking
Nonsense they speak that disagrees with me
And shows their ignorance!

And I am of course the very embodiment
Of rational thought and sense
And to disagree with me means you are
As dumb
As a box
Of rocks…

Just a little bad poem...  No meaning or anything.  ;)

Youth is wasted on the young and ...
the elderly achieve wisdom too late.

I Am Not Spock - by Leonard Nimoy.  You aren't Vulcan either.  Your understanding of logic is a non-sequitur.

It is...merely, in different words but the same meaning, what all the elderly have thunk of the younger generations since we.....whenever we started thinking.
A humans desire to live is exceeded only by their willingness to die for another. Even god cannot equal this magnificent sacrifice. No god has the right to judge them.-first tenant of the Panotheust

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.”  ~ Socrates

And there was a bit of sarcasm to myself in there...  ;)

A generation ago, it would have been "You kids get off my front lawn".  That doesn't happen these days.  Kids are no where to be seen outdoors.  Would it be "You kids get off my Facebook page"?  Only I don't have one.  And my wi-fi is very protected.  And I'm not on the Cloud...

For better or worse, kids have become non-existent in my life...

I only see them on TV now when they are shot in schools by fellow children armed with military weapons they bought or snuck from their nutso parents who accumulate the stuff and think the best protection against "those wimpy passive liberals" is to have an arsenal in their basement.
