I have diabetes type 2.
My HBA1c is 45, 46, 48, 47 for the last 4years. The first test was 91.

1 x 500mg Glucophage per day.

I still bake cakes but using Xylitol instead of sugar.

A yeast product. Very salty, I think that is why [some] people like it.
Here (UK) it is spread on toast VERY thinly. I tried it once, not too bad.

heard of that. whats it like, any long term effects from using it?

I use to take aspartame but stopped after reading some of the long term problems with that, such as headaches, digestive problems, diabetic control and possible Alzheimer but their still trying to test it, I just gave up having it.
