Perhaps I'm taking Gilgamesh too seriously. Anyone who reduces all opposition as SJW "retards" and who's caliber of argument is "yes" isn't worth the effort.
I've pretty much given up engaging the guy. He is clearly empty headed and makes a perfect trump supporter--and that quality bleeds into every 'argument' he attempts to make. Basically, for me, he is in the same category as believer theists.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

QuoteThe idea that racism is a subtle thing, and that people hold it without even being aware of it, is a lie pedaled by regressive retards.

My grandmother was raised in the era of segregation; she will say demeaning things that are very subtly racist (about how she believes they live, how they learn in school, etc) and is not remotely aware of it because in her culture it wasn't racist to think this way, even though it is objectively racist since it is saying someone is inferiour because of their race.

What part of that was a lie made up by the regressive left to oppress you?

Interesting you say that about your grandmother. My grandmother was much the same. She was from Sweden and came to Portland as a young woman in her early 20's as a domestic. She must have gotten her ideas about 'colored' people there, for there weren't any in the area of Sweden she came from. Anyway, she was fond of wresting and boxing and had a saying about 'colored' boxers and wrestlers--Can't hurt a nigger by hitting them in the head! She would yell that at the screen whenever a white and black were boxing or wrestling. That irritated the hell out of me but I could not get here to change. I stayed on their small farm many days each summer and she had no problem with me playing with a black boy my age who lived a mile or so up the rural road they lived on. And she had no problem having black people in her house or for dinner. But she did repeat many, many racist statements without really fully understanding what she was saying.

How racist I am depends on whom I'm compared to. Also, it seems people, myself included, are not always good at assessing how they come off to others. Half my coworkers are black, my supervisor is black, her supervisor is black and I have never had a conflict, but that doesn't prove anything. I am from the old school of believing that ideally individuals should be judged on their behavior and not assume that because someone is black they feel oppressed or because someone is lesbian she can't vote Republican. I think in an ideal world we would treat people as individuals but others believe not recognizing and responding to people's cultural identity is neither possible nor desirable. Being "colorblind" is considered by some to be racist. I recently downloaded a book titled When Colorblindness Isn't The Answer: Humanism and the Challenge of Race. I am hoping it will provide some insights on this topic.

I take it those people aren't fans of MLK Jr.

Also, if not judging people based on their race is racist, then what does that word even mean?

Well, I don't have a good understanding of the concept, which is why I want to read the book.

From an article in Psychology Today:

"In a colorblind society, White people, who are unlikely to experience disadvantages due to race, can effectively ignore racism in American life, justify the current social order, and feel more comfortable with their relatively privileged standing in society. Most minorities, however, who regularly encounter difficulties due to race, experience colorblind ideologies quite differently. Colorblindness creates a society that denies their negative racial experiences, rejects their cultural heritage, and invalidates their unique perspectives."

Colorblind is codeword for ... enough affirmative action already. Give us 50,000 years of reparations before you can treat us as competing on an equal basis.

Yes some Blacks hated MLK Jr. Some Hindus hated Gandhi ... and killed him too.

Bullshit. Even KKK members don't idetify as racists. You don't have to acknowledge your racism to be racist. That's stupid.

There are no closet KKK unless they run out of bedsheets. Otherwise it is obvious who they are. My grandfather and great-grandfather (on one side) were KKK. You don't know KKK from any old red neck, so you?

But in your universe, nobody is pure enough to be Puritan. You have to be ... Jesus ... to be non-racist. So why do you hate your grandmother, if I might ask? See this is a bad idea (that I have struggled with also) that my ancestors weren't necessarily people I would agree with, but they are responsible for my very existence. So do I show gratitude or not? Or shall I act as their Judge Dred?

My mother was phobic to all Orientals, in a visceral way, because of Pearl Harbor. But it wasn't about their skin color per se, she just couldn't see past "all those folks are the same" ... which is really what underlies bigotry. But it can be overcome ... Alan Watts as a child was viscerally afraid of orientals, because of how they looked. Too alien. Eventually he became a great advocate for oriental culture.

Last I checked theists avoid debate like the plague. Being an atheist, you know this is because they know they cannot defend their position with argument. Though, they'll never admit this - they usually just claim they won't engage because it would be 'pointless' - woah; kinda like what you're doing now, and have done many times before.

You've refused debate with me time and time again. The few times you have engaged, you get destroyed and start attacking my character. And you think me akin to a theist? lol ok m8.

By realizing you have brain zero indicated that engaging you is beyond pointless. You have no capacity to learn. You are worthless. I'll just leave it at that.

The problem is that they think that being KKK members does not make them racists. That's the point. Ask a member of the KKK what they think of black people, and it will be very clear that they harbor strong prejudices towards people based on their race, which is the very definition of racism. But they don't see it as racism. It's just "the truth."

I think the problem of "colorblindness" is when it's used to try to deny the unique struggles that people of minority races have to face. It's good to say that people should be judged on the merits of their own actions. It's not fine to pretend that color doesn't matter at all in the real world. Rather than being blind to color, I think it is better to embrace it.

You are projecting. Of course KKK members are racist. So are many other non-KKK members, including many Black people et al. Unless of course you are using the Marxist definition of racism. Bigotry is everywhere, particularly in delusional SJWs.

My Czech ancestors had a unique struggle, that my German ancestors did not. I demand that all the German-Americans (given what Germany did to Czechoslovakia in 1938) should give me reparations, in proportion to how Czech I am. This is complicated, because I am also German-American.

Sorry, no reparations, unless you want to kill me first. I didn't own slaves, or kill any Native Americans. Marxists should be identified, and removed from citizenship, in any country. Group guilt is part of the mechanism of anti-semitism.
