I remember reading that quote in history classes.  Today, it would take a DC police action if the White House security team resisted.   Maybe Army.  A more interesting question is whether the Cabinet and/or staff would push him out the front door...

This did happen in S Korea a couple years ago.  Also Japan actually jailed one of their PM's back in the 70s ... something we didn't do with Nixon.  The Asians are clearly more intelligent than we are ;-)

In response to the earlier convo about the leaks...

Obama recently said this in one of his rallies, and it's spot on... it doesn't really matter if the leaks are true or not, because it's them patting themselves on the back for putting bandaids on a gaping wound, while still encouraging the guy widening the wound to keep doing what he is doing.

“These people aren’t elected, they aren’t accountable, they’re not doing us a service by actively promoting 90 percent of the crazy stuff that’s coming out of this White House and then saying, ‘don’t worry, we’re preventing the other 10 percent.’”
