But Graham once again upped his metric of success, from 50,000 to anywhere under 100,000.

By all means, if you can find a good policy, copy it.  But don't judge the goodness of a policy based on ideology or group think.  That isn't socialism or capitalism ... that is common sense.

My wife's private school is opening up, because they have money, and they are changing completely how they will educate (rotating half the children in and out of classrooms to maintain distancing).  Teachers will be getting retraining shortly to learn how to manage that.  It will be nice if your public school district can do this for a much larger student population ... spits in hand.
