I expected Dubya to be photographed with Tony Blair...

Like Reagan should've been photographed with Thatcher?  LOL

So you have about 60 years of hate to expiate?  Your counseling bill will be massive.  I know not to pursue the dead.

How long will it be before Pelosi, Schiff and other Democrats are in prison?

I wonder when Trump will be able to become the dictator he so desperately wants to be?  When will the USA meet it's 1933??

We're just really lucky that he's so old. But he has the best possible health care, so he could live for many years to come.

As an actual centrist-moderate (but hyperbole at times) ... I don't expect any actual criminal to go to jail.  The US is an disorganized crime syndicate.

Usually, "political" crimes are only punished thru elections.  Bill Clinton shouldn't have been impeached, nor should have Donald Trump.  The "red line" was set too low in both cases.  Aside from inevitable political controversy, I have never read of any President who deserved impeachment.  A few Congressmen have deserved it.  Nine senators have been censured.  House expulsions ... 5, censures ... 23, reprimands ... 11, excluded ... 4 (one guy twice).  A total of 19/42 of them in my lifetime.

Quite a few federal judges have been impeached.  Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh currently has pending charges against him.

A total of 15 senators have been expelled (none since the Civil War).  Of the 9 senators censured, 3 were in my lifetime.  In addition, 18 senators have had proceedings of expulsion logged against them ... three in my lifetime.  Those three escaped by resigning.

I have some very serious doubts about this poll :P, but I will say I find it interesting that the richer you are, the less you care if Trump wins.

I feel like that is actually pretty accurate. If you are rich enough (and also, not-so-coincidentally, white enough) to not be effected by his policies or to be indifferent about social services you don't need, it's not surprising you don't think Trump isn't as bad as people make him out to be. It doesn't effect you, so why should you be expected to really understand?

Most of humanity lives in steerage, always have been.  Having a temper tantrum over it, help?  Children and seniors aren't even productive, they are ballast (which is actually useful).

I know that, and you know that, but do the ultra-wealthy know that?

Ultra-powerful, ultra-wealthy are always suspect to me.  Not because I am a socialist, but I think that wealth, power ... especially inherited, are corrupting.  That is a rather Biblical pessimism.  I prefer everyone for most of their adult lives should have meaningful work, paid or pro bono ... that contributes to the common good.  I don't see socialism as a good definition of the common good (because apparatchiks).

The ancients had plenty of experience with monarchies and tyrannies ... to not see them as a good thing.  Hence my hope in someone like Bill Clinton or Barak Obama.  I have never ever been a Republican (party).  Always a republican.  And the greater freedom individually vs collectively, the better, though at times collectivism is necessary (see FDR, Truman, Eisenhower).

Democracy as tyranny of the majority .. not for me, no matter what party.  Arrogance is a bad place to be in.  Democracy as a way to get general buy-in to policies ... would be nice.  Partisanship and corruption break this.  The US can't seem to unify except from an external threat, and then only for a generation afterward.  Thus unity in the US, which gives confidence for changes, after WW II.  War in Korea, Vietnam and on Terror ... have been divisive.  And the WW II generation has died off.

QuoteJesse discusses (SHOWING THE RECEIPTS) Donald Trump profiting hundreds of thousands of dollars for staying at his properties (and even when he's not there being protected). Among the list are $650 per night hotel rooms and a $17,000/month 3 bedroom house in Bedminster, NJ.
