So, conservatives got a movie banned because it hurt their feelings (I thought they didn't like snowflakes?) and you wanna know the funny thing about this?  I'm like 95% sure a conservative is the heroine of the story.  D'oh!

See, the plot is that evil elitists have kidnapped conservatives, dropped them in god knows where, and are hunting them for sport.  It really tries to paint a picture of ivory tower liberals who have all the money and privilege and they're totally out of touch with the common man and lack empathy, so naturally, they go out and murder the have-not, salt-of-the-earth conservatives with simple and honest lives whose backbreaking work creates the very towers that the liberals live in.

It's a conservative propagandist's wet dream.  And triggered conservatives got it banned because they had the false impression that Hollywood was so anti-Trump that they greenlit a movie about just murdering them all because...I dunno...reasons.  Persecution complex, much?

Anways, it's pretty stupid all around.  Unless this is all a big marketing gimmick, in which case, kudos to them, but I dunno, I kinda feel like the people who watch Fox and Friends to understand the state of the world aren't really the kind of people to play 3d chess.  In that scenario, the creators would be the real geniuses and everyone else, right and left and even the POTUS himself, just got played.

I just heard about 'The Hunt' earlier today and laughed off the entire premise.  But apparently, it triggered a conservative fear.  I find it difficult to even conceive of the idea, but some people do seem to think it could happen unless they have all the guns.

Liberals with AK-47s?  Get real.

Now granted, *I* possibly could.  I have hunting experience with guns and bow and I have a professional crossbow.  And there are too many conservatives as it is.  And I USED to be a Republican, so I have the basic "kill" instinct.  Who would miss a few idiots?

And if you have read this far and didn't realize I'm joking, my apologies.

PS, what's "yorse"?  Why thanky kindly, I'll have a whiskey.

Sorry, I had gotten over it.  But after 50 years, the degenerate grad students who didn't die of drug overdose or VD, are professor emeriti.  Their ... disciples are the senior academics today making a new hash of things.  Posted awhile back ... the best way for the public to deal with the chaos in the post-secondary education market, is to defund it.  No reason for any taxpayer to pay for it.  Let anyone who wants a specious degree in "underwater Marxism" pay full rate.

Yes, money is involved, unless you are a socialist, and in that case you stole the money from a tax payer.

@Cavebear ... the news cycle is too short for someone who only posts one day a week.

Trump/Putin ... unless you think they are the same people.

Not the same but...Trump and Putin share the same secret - all that money laundered from the Russian oligarch into Trump business.

I am perfectly willing to support Bernie ... since to make college education free, he has to pay for it himself ;-)

I know that bothers a lot of people.  Maybe we should simply kill the millionaires?

Actually, most grad students are working daily gigs.  There are like 100+ times the grads students for the professor positions.  And it depends on the subjects.  When I was working in a building that scheduled conference rooms (an minor part of the office function), we used to get calls from Dept of Education offices who referred to themselves by the PhD in Charge (everyone had one) and they were HORRIFIED that we neither knew who those people were or cared.

Also, we had some co-workers who came to our office from The National Archives.  You needed a PhD in history just to get an entry level position there.  But not in our office.  You had to be actually intelligent.  One new co-worker demanded to be called "doctor".  I made up a fake personal business card calling myself  something like "The Master of Everything" and suggested that if she wanted to be called "Doctor" she should address me as my card said.

She dropped the "Doctor" nonsense.  And she actually turned out to be utterly incompetent at any office task.  She left.

You're kidding. Bernie is still wearing the same suit as in 1969. He can hardly pay for his own coffee...

As opposed to The Donald who makes the only money he gets by staying at his own places and making the Govt pay him to do it?

Well, I generally agree.  I don't want either of them.

Thanks for explaining that. I wonder why impeachment is considered all that serious then, if a President can't be removed from office. Like if Trump is impeached, but doesn't get removed, what was gained? An impeached President could run for a second term.
True enough.  The only real gain from a successful impeachment in the House would be that all the evidence of criminal activity and wrongdoings -- the required "high crimes and misdemeanors" -- would then all be on the public record, with the paper trail that validates the evidence.

The downside of course is that Republicans are utterly shameless and would claim that (for example) obstruction of justice is all right when Lord Dampnut or any other Republican does it, because they have a divine right to govern or some damn thing so the rules are different for them.

Hardly.  He needs to ask for more free houses from Hillary.  And he can sell them for a profit to SJWs on Ebay.

@Cavebear ... yes, the academic types want you to bow and scrape ;-)  But a PhD in Librarianship might be useful if you were working at a major institution, like The National Archives.

I can give you an example.  We were retiring the paper portion of the military medical records to The National Archives.  Each box has to have a vetted index.  All those indices are also electronic, for lookup.  The PC (with squirrel in cage) a few years ago, that was the sole keeper of that digital record, had a hard drive failure with no recoverable backup.  Rendering it impractical to ever retrieve the physical records.  That wasn't a PhD in Librarianship action.  After a hiatus on paper record retirement after 4 years, we were just starting to move to a new system, just before I left work.  Another one of the countless small and great, of IT gaffs, in the government.
