SCOTUS and Congress were designed as oversights to the executive branch. They also assumed a well informed population and a free press as another check. No doubt that Trump is testing the system on every front. But it's not over until the fat lady sings...

On a preliminary draft, they wanted to encourage people to say US citizen instead of American to avoid confusion with people who live in the Americas who aren't US citizens (Cubans, Jamacians, etc).  They ultimately decided against it and the current guide doesn't have any recommendation for or against saying American.

Imo, that's kind of stupid.  I mean, who's harmed by just calling it a manhole?  And aren't there bigger issues to deal with?  I wish I had that kind of time on my hands.

But if I had to choose between concentration camps and calling manholes maintainance holes, I'm a bit more partial to agenda 2.  It's just a bit less dystopian, lol.

He may or may not.  If he says that Trump is a little green man from Mars ... well, we will know why the investigation went astray, won't we?

The Dems can impeach Donald Trump anytime, for any reason.  It is political.  They don't have to have a criminal indictment (anymore than the Republicans needed a criminal indictment against Bill Clinton).  Republicans aren't cowards, but they failed in the Senate against Bill Clinton.  Dems are cowards.  Dems are always ... cowards.  Here is a hand grenade ... pull the pin, I dare y'all ;-)
