Canada for now, with the hope of getting citizenship and then using that to hit the UK. From there, depending on what remains of their Euro-status, either Karlsruher, Strasbourg, Switzerland or Spain/Ireland as a back-up.

But my ideal location in Canada is the Winnipeg area, which strikes me as a bit... isolated... from the rest of the world, which is what I want anyways, so maybe just stick around there... and have the option to move north if the world keeps on getting warmer.

I like Bernie Sanders because I listened to him for years every Friday on Thom Hartmann's "Brunch With Bernie" segment of his show. Bernie hasn't changed his policies in all that time, he's been consistently, uh, consistent. So he's someone I know a lot better than any of the other candidates, and I like the cut of his jib.

It's not confusing if you consider that Americans who don't like their governments and asylum seekers are in both of these cases dark-skinned people. Trump's supporters are consistent in their racial bias - all non-white are undesirable, if only they would leave or not invade our country. And besides, Trump swears he doesn't have a racial bone in him. He has sworn he won't let the country slide into socialism. You can't be more American than that... oh wait, I forgot to say apple pie in there...

No, this goes back to 1960s.  "Love it or leave it".  Not enough of y'all escaped to Canada.  You did stay, and try to elect George McGovern.  We had a Greening Of America way back in 1970.  It failed.  It will fail again, idealism always does.  Pragmatism is the only chance you have to not be ridiculous.  Centrism is the only way to avoid ideological death wishes.  But then Leftism = hatred of your own social group.

The was one being interviewed about Trump's recent arrival in North Carolina (a visit which probably set us back to the Reconstruction Era) and she said that she was glad that Trump was doing something to "get rid of all the Mexicans".  They never keep their cards close to their chests.  It's like Intelligent Design all over again.
