This has gotten way WAY WAY more press than it should have.

This. Stupid move on ESPN's part, but if people would stop saying he was fired it wouldn't be nearly as viral as it has gone. One little lie can make a story blow up to ridiculous proportions as people exaggerate how bad it really is.

"Do you believe in god?", is not a proper English sentence. Unless you believe that, "Do you believe in apple?", is a proper English sentence.

Antifa has literally nothing to do with this.

Actually its got plenty to do with it. As the report says, they made this decision because of what happened in maryland, caused by extremist left and right groups attacking one another, Antifa being the left group thats been in the news and been showing up all over in the last month.

And since the violence they caused against confederate groups is common knowledge now, the ESPN figured rather then having yet another extremist vs extremist bloodshed in their game, brought on by ignorant morons with an anti confederate push, they'd play it safe in their eyes and remove a possible problem, stupid as it was.

And I don't really need a boogeyman when i just find it so hilarious both sides are just as bad as each other.

I hate this!!!  I must insist that Drew is correct in this--and I never, never agree with anything Drew writes.  ESPN was beyond stupid.

Extremes are bad. Cool. Everyone get's that.

The problem is you set the bar for "extreme" on the left at, "Believes in more than two genders/thinks women should be treated as fairly as men should be treated/believes in equality for all religions or lack thereof" and set the bar for the right somewhere past, "We should kill the Jews! Heil Hitler! White power!".

To take your horseshoe picture, you have set the bar on the left for what you consider "extreme" to somewhere before it even reaches the peak of it's curve, while the bar for the right is just a few centimeters from the tip. And you have no problem assuming everyone agrees with that model, but when "extremists" on the left are people who fight for gender rights, LGBT+ rights, human rights and the people on the right are people who fight for the extermination of all "Mongrel races" and for the hateful ideals of Hitler, then even you have to admit the standards are not even remotely unbiased and aren't even remotely morally upholdable.

And now your back to exaggerations You seemed to have formed this opinion that because I'm calling out antifa as being as bad as the kkk and right wing extremes in the charlottesville instance, that I must now think all left wing thinking is bad, that I hate the left and am now a right winger. It goes without saying how ridiculous it is you think that because I point out the bad on one side, that it can only mean I swing one way.

You know for someone who claims to be atheist you really do lack self reflection and perspective on things. You want what you follow to be right side of history so much you can't see the wood for the trees.

its fine choosing to follow a political path in life, which creates opposition to the other path people follow, but when you reach a point all you can see is a red haze against the opposing side that their all bad, you've ended up becoming as bad as any religious follower. That suggests you've fallen so far down one side of the horseshoe your unable to conceive of any good on the other side of the political spectrum.

Both extreme sides are played by one puppet master ... same as 1960s.  There is no real opposition (take a pick) allowed in the US, or GB.  Psyops.

It is Soros or DNC that pays your paycheck ;-)  The Left is so affective, not.  Same thing with the KKK, that is why all Blacks are dead now, right?

I'm not sure who you are directing this at, but it does describe a pretty common reaction, which strikes me as more representative of the right, where the right is right, and the left is the extreme.  There is often a token acknowledgement of both extremes, but the extremes never balance because the extreme right is never as extreme as the extreme left.  It comes out sounding like anyone to the left of center is part of the lunatic fringe, whereas the right all the way to end of the graph is nothing more than a hodge-podge of sensible ideas.

Unfortunately, as the country moves farther and farther to the right politically, the progressives are left farther and farther out there.  This however, is no reason to accept horseshit like the bigotry, greed, and hate coveted by the right end of the spectrum.  There are still moral imperatives worth advocating, even if the country ends up going down the shitter.

More than one dimension to political spectrum.  The status quo sits dead center.  The extremes make war on the status quo, and on the center.  Being center, is Normie, being Left is Cuckistani (they share wives, being good socialists), being right is Kekistani (they like cucking the Cuckistani).  Social order lies with the Normies, not with the wings.  And .. violence is the monopoly of the State.  That is why both extremes are constantly trying to seize power, so they can use that power against the other wing, and against the status quo.  Most people make a living in the status quo, but some make a killing, literally, by being contrarian.  Those who oppose the State, both Left, Right and Center ... are anarchists.  Nobody invites them over, they will trash your place!

Meh, most societies are set off by names. In fact, all societies I can think of get set off by names.
