There are very old ideas in the Bible.  The expression/words aren't so old, mostly 2000 - 3000 years old.  Sorry, you failed biology.  My daughter's girl friend got pregnant the first time she was with a man.

Simply a series--one little crock of shit after another.  This guy makes it seem that all theists are really just blow-hard, ego maniacs, who like to hear their own voice rambling on and on.  And I guess they are.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

@Baruch.. how do you mean old ideas?  do you mean my penis and her pussy are old? That’s preposterous. And just when I thought we were getting along great . I demand you retract .   Homicide rates say otherwise . They’re to 50 % total between couples . dick is dick , pussy is pussy since we reached this unsatisfactory evolutionary  state which was when .? no idea.

so what if she got pregnant from the first get go ? cutting edge statistics say 320 roughly

This is the error of reasoning from statistics, to a specific case.  The tails of the gaussian distribution aren't negligible, if you don't want to get pregnant, and do ... or you do want to get pregnant, and don't ...

I don't see that you and I are at cross purposes.  When I know a fact, no statistic can deny it.  And I certainly wasn't implying anything about you personally.

@barouch…I’m just trying to be nice. The real error is not realizing what you said supports what I said about sexual drive . harsh nature endowed her with that drive . True things have gotten better , but therein lies the problem , the drive remains . tech went ahead of  nature .but we’re still the animals shaped by pre tech environment . old , yes , of course. That’s the point .

Now I want to ask your opinion about something . you have become like a father to me . in that other post I mentioned ramdan and you came back at me with Shabbat goy. Jews talking not nice shit about those who did the work for them on the Sabbath because they don’t work on the Sabbath. You  compared that to Muslim having Christians do work for them on Ramadan  because Muslims  were fasting. And you followed it with that smile sign , two brackets’ and stuff. I’m thinking of starting a post to investigate if Sabbath is comparable to Ramadan.I know a whole lot of ramdan to dazzle you.  Then I want to start a post detailing how Islam calls Jews descendents of pigs and monkeys and even rats   and all that hate in the quran and haddith directed towards Jews even before there was an Israel . as my mentor  what do you think? You know I value your opinion. .

It is called a loophole in religious law.  Technically, one shouldn't have a different law for the stranger in our midst (gentile) as we do for ourselves.  In deed, the Torah suggests that the work animal should be given shabbat as well.  When we use a loophole to avoid a religious law, we are being hypocrites of course.  The spirit of the custom is what is important, not even the custom.  So having a gentile work on a shabbat, or having a gentile hold goods that are temporarily not appropriate to keep (Spring cleaning for Passover) then we have forgotten the reason behind the custom.  IMHO .. the purpose of Ramadan is to enjoin sympathy and even solidarity with the poorest elements of the umma.  If one has never skipped meals, then one doesn't know what it is like to be truly poor.  Custom enjoins a whole month of not eating during daylight, so that the observance isn't trivial.  There are short periodic fasts in Judaism, but nothing as serious as Ramadan.  Similarly there are short fasts in Catholicism.  But the Jesus of the Gospel of Thomas says ... don't fast at all.

"Jesus says to them: "When you fast, you will beget sin for yourselves; when you pray, you will be condemned; when you give alms, you will do evil to your souls!""

I think what this Jesus is saying is extreme.  That if you don't give up all you have to the poor, you aren't serious.  That if you don't live in constant presence of G-d, you aren't serious.  I myself am in the middle of the horns of the same dilemma ... materialism vs spiritualism.

What loop hole got to do with it. Please elaborate .  start with Jewish script. Teach me rules about Sabbath and show me the loop hole .

 Barouch.,You’re doing wonderful.better than I had hoped .

That quote of Jesus , I heard that on Friday mosque sermons.  In Islamic  Dawa  ( invite/ proselyte ) they use that quote and stuff from numbers and Deuteronomy  ,etc .Mosque Imamas get training  on that The stuff get drilled deep into their psyche so deep  they repeat it  unconsciously .

Big problem in terms of inter religion dialogue. The  imama was not trained to dialogue . he was trained to engage in   hit run artist tactics. They tell them make sure you say that  shit in short slot of time  , pile it up on their mental shelf .do it quick before the Christian has time to debunk you  and move to the next item on the list .confuse subvert ,etc.

What’s  up Hakham Barouch, been visiting your friendly neighborhood mosques , eh?

Can you teach me something better  my mentor ? we did that Jesus bit in Dawa 101 class

So okay what you’re saying is basically this :

1-   Jews are evil wicked people , who do “loop” shit and violate customs  , and call foreigners Shabbat goy , a derogative term . Make poor foreigners work when they  don’t even make donkeys work on the sabbath. By implication Jews thinks of us less than they think of donkeys and and and . something like that . right Hakham Barouch? .

2-   Whereas .Muslims do charity , give  alms on Ramadan , sympathetic people who  kiss and hug lepers and Ebola infected victims, etc .

3-   Conclusion Muslims are angels , jews are devils. Welcome to Hamas broadcasting from  aqsa mosque

4- Christian , forget about it. Those gusy worship that  extreme jesus  .

So what do you propose , get Hitler oven started  and resume burning jews??I mean jews don’t deserve to exist when you have such good Muslims .we should get rid of the bad jews and leave the good Muslims. Out with the bad in with the good

I don’t know about you Hakham Barouch , you beginning to sound more like Imam of Al Azhar .that reputable and widely influential institute  of Islamic jihadist  manufacturing.Would like me to show you some of its Ramadan sermons??presitigous AL Azhar hate inspiring material 24/7.? you know I'll do anything for you .you are like father to em. least I can do.

When are you going to do about  al Rahaman bit ? not in the internet . not in Wikipedia ?

What I will do for  Barouch , a man whom I have grown to respect and consider to be a father ( that’s how jihadist think  about their Sheikh) is nice tidy piece to show that before Islam Ramadan was peaceful charitable thing and after Islam it changed to butchery , rape , murder en masse, war spoils ,etc

I’m going to make you very happy and pleased with me my sheikh. can I call you that ? please .

I'm always skeptical when someone claims to be an atheist who converts to religious belief. It's overwhelmingly a one-way street from belief to non-belief. It does happen occasionally, but usually when people say they were once an atheist, they were like Kirk Cameron: a non-practicing, passive theist, or a theist who is "angry at god", or some such.

Ibn Khaldun ... actually a complete dissection of contemporary Islamic society ... isn't something I have the time or interest in.  I don't judge others, but I do judge their ideas/actions vs whether I should do the same as they do.  All the ways of G-d are peace ... but this wasn't so with Caliph Umar etc.  It wasn't true with Emperor Constantine.  The mis-ethics of Jewish people?  Of course there is such a thing.  But ethics is at least our central concern.  I myself am a heretic, and as a religious humanist, I know that all people fall short of the glory of G-d.

But I don't want to seem mocking, by using too much Islamic terminology for things you are concerned about, because while I appreciate Islam (in spite of its defects), I am not a Muslim.  But in a way, you are correct to call me a sheik.  But beware of following any one teacher too closely, less you imitate the vices along with the virtues.  Prophet Muhammad is correct in the hadith, that the inner jihad is greater than the external jihad.  Many atheists here know both, in their own Western way.  I practice inner jihad every day.  As a patriot, I also practice outer jihad every day.  The only path to peace is integrity and justice ... and these are hard paths.

This one seems unique. Even if he's not being honest, his story is different at the very least. Seems he just follows whatever religion gets him in bed with the woman he currently has his eyes on.

Men are born, only to die.  What matters is what kind of man/woman you were in between.  The loophole in every shariah is ... that it is observed by letter and not by spirit.  And that scripture comes from man, imperfect.  Yes, I do read scriptures.  I am studying the Hebrew Psalms now.  But I have studied the Quran and many others as well.  I open my eyes and unplug ears, so that my eyes will not be blind, my ears will not be deaf.  Are you sure that what is said about the scripture gods is correct?  Are they not all paper tigers?  But to encounter the true Life ... that is far far worse than any holy story.  It is struggle, it is suffering, it is dying.  When everywhere you look, you see Truth, then you are encountering the true Life.  Cry or laugh, but choose wisely.
