Europe is toast?

"Angela Merkel used to say that "the European Union is about 5% of the world’s population, about 25% of its GDP, and about 50% of global welfare spending.""

See, if you spend like the Weimar Republic, everything will go just fine.  The German economy hasn't blown up for two reasons: They are rather efficient and productive, and they financially predate on the rest of the EU.  Under the Mark, rather than the Euro, German exports would be much more expensive, and Germany would be in recession.  How to handle all the domestic and refugee welfare then?

Knowing the Germans, they'd have some kind of final solution at the ready.

Socialist welfare states and open borders lead to financial collapse. Eventually.

Don't worry, Italy is about to donate 200,000 refugees to the rest of Europe, because they are tired of holding them.  See, that is what Greece did too.  The refugees could have been localized, if Germany did what was necessary (other than subsidize German voters) to support the EU.  In fact, Turkey might still have those refugees instead of Greece et al ... if Europe followed rational policies.  Even Libya might still be a viable country.  Similar interference in the Baltic and Ukraine ... is threatening nuclear war.  So is the US in charge of all this interference?  Or is it more what Germany and France like, the new European imperialism ... out of jealousy of what the George W administration did in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Hungary, Poland, Chech republic and Slovakia -the Visegrad Four - are refusing to comply with Brussel’s directive.

The EU is threatening financial punishment (they need to get money any which way) but I think those refusenics have a better deal without the locusts migrants over running their countries.
A price worth paying. They even might leave the EU. We’ll see.

Being part Czech, I don't trust anything my part German has to say ;-)  Yes, E Europe should create a new Warsaw pact, and rejoin the Russian Republic.  Russia has been deeply involved, even as far as W Europe ... for over 200 years now.  Germany and Russia are supposed to be allies, not enemies (per 1815 settlement of foreign policy post Napoleon).  Of course S Europe should revolt from Germany too.  Let the French and Germans have their own union if they can.  The "Rump EU" is more fair.

German voters don't want to kill everyone, so that is an improvement.  They simply want to impoverish every non-German ... while benefiting from Turkish and refugee lower class labor.  Franco-Germany wants to be the USA ... and that is a bad thing ... just ask Canada and Mexico.

And you will wait and wait, and wait.  And if one does eventually, you will announce "AHA I told you".  Never mind the hundred times you were wrong.

My mother specialized in that strategy.  "Don't drop that".  Don't swing too high".  Don't climb too high in that tree".  Eventually she was right in a particular instance, and thereby ALWAYS HAD BEEN right in all the times her warnings never came true.

Yep, the future will never happen.  If you cruise your car into a brick wall, the outcome is unpredictable, you might quantum tunnel thru unscathed.
