The chicken and the egg issue is easy to solve, just like this one. The egg came first, because it was an egg that had the chicken. And even though the conservatives have been conservative this whole time, the extreme left went around lumping everyone in to groups and demonizing them as nazis and the like, just because they see even the slightest reason in a conservative talking point.... Or lack of reason in a liberal talking point.

The alt-left (extreme left) is the originator here. But the issue isn't even that they are the ones that started this, it's that they are the single most toxic and irrational political identity. And that's a massive feat because we have the Right... And now also the alt-right.
Everyone on the alt-left is calling other people racist when it simply isn't so. They call other liberals nazis and alt-right. It's fucking dumb. Stop being dumb.

Except that is literally is not true, when alt-right media has been mainstream for decades while I ask you to name me one alt left mainstream channel or syndicated radio program.

Likewise alt right politicians, and their predecessors, have been in Washington for 30+ years making actual laws that actually fuck people over. Tell me one far left politician that has a significant effect on American politics. Bernie Sanders?

I don't care who was first, both are in the wrong, but that doesn't mean I am okay with outright lies being told about one because you don't like them. And calling the alt left the most toxic and irrational political identity tells me you haven't given up, you have just adopted your own prejudice and shoved your head ten feet up someone's ass. Because if you believe the left is what is wrong, the biggest wrong in politics, then someone has fed you one glutton's meal of bull shit.

"mainstream"? I assume you mean on TV or radio that you can get on your car radio?

Sorry bud, but that is no longer mainstream, since most people get their news from the internet.
HuffingtonPost is more mainstream than all of those. BuzzFeed is more mainstream than all of those. The Young Turks are mainstream than all of those.

I don't believe the left is wrong. I believe the extreme left is wrong on most things, especially their approach, just like the extreme right is wrong on most things, especially their approach. Know the difference.

If you can't tell the difference between the left and the alt-left (extreme left) (or whatever you'd like to call it), you probably are alt-left and you overdosed on identity politics.

I'll agree with you on Huffpost, but to claim that TYT or Buzzfeed (out side of their quizzes) is bigger and more influential than say FOX News or that one that owns the majority of local news channels is simply absurd, especially when you consider that our generation doesn't vote and our generation are not in positions of power in corporations or education institutions. In reality these organizations are still overwhelmingly run by older white men who, strictly statistically, are more likely to hold conservative biases and watch traditional news than younger generations.

The internet is an amazing tool, but it's very easy to mistake it for the norm in the real world when in reality it only amplifies the very polar opposites of an already small and inaccurate cross section of the overall population.

Alright, and I don't honestly know who you were referring to in those last two posts. They certainly weren't in reference to me...

Anti-Fa were the street commies in Germany in the 20s-30s.  They aren't new.  They are pure Lenin and Trotsky.  Stalin shut them down as much as Hitler and the Brown Shirts did, because he can't tolerate communists that he doesn't control (COMINTERN).  Most of the neocons we have today (Bill Krystol for instance) were Trotsky-ite agitators in the 60s.

Bring back the draft.  Draft any young person wearing black.  Send them to Cambodia for a properly socialist education.

I think Fox and Comcast radio network suck ... but what you want is a Communist Revolution, with all media run like Pravda, by the anti-Fa cadre, right?  Are you sure you aren't our past poster (Etienne) from another life?

Prove how liberal you are, by putting black-hispanic surnamed, gay-trans children in charge ;-)

If you can tell the difference between the left and the alt-left, the last one wasn't directed to you. If you can't, it is.

No, I don't. I rather our media be predominately run by groups like NPR, Reuters, AP or Al Jazeera, organizations that do actual investigative work themselves rather than just being left or right pundits.

I just don't know anyone here like that, so it seemed weird to direct two posts towards that group. But it's more than possible I just didn't realise there are people here that think that way.

Well, as I mentioned before. I had a member that I was pretty good friends with from here go off the deep end. I wouldn't doubt if there was at least 1 or more people that have completely lost it... because 1 or two already have, without me naming names. Like... we all know pr lost touch with reality, but he's on the other end of the spectrum. I'm talking about people getting consumed by the extreme left identity.

Identity politics are no bueno.

I would argue that identity politics are an oxymoron, so no wonder it's been a total failure and cancer.

Yes, identity politics comes from "fellow travelers" ... who usually keep their own identity mysterious.
