Right-wing morons made the same dire warnings, about Obama. Don't spread that kind of hype.
Right wing morons said that Obama would likely or has done false flags, or that no victims die and it's all just a play, etc (it would make a lot more sense to me to just kill the people, so you have less people in the know that you want to stay quiet). Chomsky is merely taking the possibility into account. We talk about the possibility of an alien invasion happening on here, which is millions of times less likely to happen than a staged terrorist attack, and people get a pass for comparing Trump to Hitler (who carried out a false flag), but it's somehow wrong to take the possibility of a false flag into account even though it's happened over and over throughout history? Remaining vigilant is a good thing I think. I'd be saying the same whether it's Trump in office, Hillary, or even Bernie. No matter how unlikely you think it, it's happened plenty throughout history, and those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat it. For the record, I assume everything that happened under Obama was genuine and I don't think he caused or knowingly let any attacks happen, and as far as Chomsky's warning goes, I think it would be even harder for Trump to pull staged attacks off what with the CIA/FBI/deep state being against him, so I don't see it happening.
