Honestly its the most cowardly religion to ever exist. Which is ironic because the new testament is also anti cowardice, but the idea of "dont insult if one person insults you" yeah you wish.

Nietzsche would agree with you regards Christianity. Judaism can be similar, in its emphasis on justice, and Buddhism, its emphasis on pacifism. Islam and Hinduism are less tolerant. Different religions evolved in different places to solve different social problems. But Christianity has been violent at several times in its history.

I'd click the "like" box but you seem to be spouting the same thing as in your other post. I am going to watch for your Snowblo so I can ignore your shit. (not even worth a smiley).

Baruch has a one-track mind. He objects to almost everything. Nihilists like him are common. but annoying. You just can't stop them.

There is no absolute value less than zero. I comment on many things, don't take that as objection, take it as interest.

Some things have complex value, not real ... but that is irrelevant to what I said. You don't read well, just what you want to see, or what you project the person said.

Hey, Snow--are you on your meds--or off them????

It would really be nice if you'd go back to the 6th grade and learn to write and spell in English. Most of the time I don't know what the hell you are trying to say. I get the feeling you don't either.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

This is what happens when you do drugs folks. I use to say lofty things like this all the time when I was coming down. Maybe not quite this disrespectful. But just as incoherent.

I read what is written, and accept it as what the author believes. Your difficulty with me here is that I actually think you mean what you say. And since so much of that is really irrational, that doesn't make me think very highly of you.

Awe ... life is complicated, posting is complicated too. There is the topical comment, the rhetorical comment, the anti-comment etc .. so much rhetoric, so little time. While you never know what will come out of my mouth or my fingers, it isn't as chaotic as it seems. Evelyn Wood and typing class, the best parts of HS. The context of a post (not just mine) varies widely. This is an old fashioned party line (from my grandparent's time) with the moderators as the "busy body phone operator" listening in to all the gossip. But I don't think in this case, the media is the message.

If we had a straight conversation, on just one thing, without any rhetoric ... then you might like it better. See "informal debates" below the main section. Propose an informal debate (actually lets just have a linear and respectable adult conversation, on anything).

People in my youth also said quite lofty things when both up and coming down. I never gave them much weight either direction.

The fundamental cowardice in Christianity is that it preaches that you don't have to take responsibility for your actions, you don't have to make them right, you just have to privately say "I sowwy!" to Invisible Sky Daddy and it's magically okay without doing a single thing to straighten out the mess you may have made. It divorces actions from consequences. You can be as shitty as you like for your entire life but as long as you convert in the last second of your life, and without doing anything to correct the damage you have done, it's all right.

That alone makes it a system of hypocrisy and cowardice.

That worked great for Constantine ... he only confessed his sins on his death bed. He had killed a lot of people, including a son, a son-in-law and a wife.

I found a neat youtube documentary on how Christianity was invented in Rome. From what I gather it stemmed from a Roman aristocratic family named like Flaavius and it was something to help control lower class people in a hugely growing Rome.
