Korea was briefly conquered by the Chinese, but has never functionally been part of China.  Mostly because China has never really wanted outsiders as part of the "Middle Kingdom".
That doesn't explain China's expansion into East Turkestan (modern Xinjiang Province) and Tibet during the Qing Dynasty.

Part of North Korea's siege mentality stems from the fact that it's surrounded by powers with an imperialistic history: China, Russia and Japan (and the US by proxy through the South).

Korea certainly has reason to be hostile to foreigners.  Xinjiang is part of China off and on since the Tang dynasty, not just the Qing.  China has always been more vulnerable from the West or North, than from the East or South.

I think Kim grew up hearing tall tales from his papa and grandfather. I don't think he has actually seen the U.S. military in action. He's got some grandios ideas in his head that kicking some U.S. butt is a piece of cake. If he didnt have a couple nuclear bombs layin around would anyone listen to his brand of B.S.?

He is likely going to end up with a sword up his ass, like the Ass in Libya.  I have to struggle to have sympathy for evil dictators.  The primary losers in Korea would be Koreans, both N and S, same as always.  Also Japan would become a nuclear power on its own, and that isn't good for China.

There are many possible interpretations of Kim's world view.  He might think N Korea is a major power, based on his dad's claims.  He might think the other powers in the world are about equal to his.  He might think the rest of the world lives like N Korea.  He might think that possessing a few nuclear weapons makes him equal to all other nations.  He might think that China will support N Korea forever.  He might think western Asia is the totality of the world.

You can't be sure what crazy people think.

Personally, I love seeing the N Korean military goose-stepping in parades all the time.  If there was a war, their knees will be all shot to hell.

Here's an idea...  Let's drop Ex-lax-infused food all over N Korea, marked in Korean as "From Glorious Father Kim",  to be taken daily.

Recent report of coverups in the State Dept under Hillary.  Our ambassador to Belgium, who was a big fund raiser for the Obama election ... was caught doing sex traffic with both adults and children in Belgium.  The State Dept covered it up (see Watergate).  They punished the whistleblower, and gave the ambassador a slap on the wrist.  They even had the CIA/FBI break into the lawyer's office working for the State Dept whistleblower.

I read media similar to what you read, but they say that Democrats are Reptilians.  The Internets always tell the truth.

Look at what you're arguing about.   You're essentially saying that one side's kiddy fiddling isn't as bad as the other sides kiddy fiddling.

Here's another way of looking at it.    All paedophilia is wrong.   Anyone trying to justify it is part of the problem.

I agree.  But this is a D party website, same as Faceplant ;-)  Don't be shocked, a year ago we had a pro-paedophilia chain going here (question about legal age vs non-legal age ... and how chibi is irresistible).

You weren't alive earlier ... I have been living with this for 61 years ... a nuclear war started (with armistices) in 1945.  I worked on WMD in my earlier career.  Learn to love the Bomb?  Maybe not.  If the rich and powerful want war in 1914, 1939 or today ... they will have it.  You and I don't get a vote on that.  Human culling may come, though of course it would be tragic, and I have no love of tragedy.

So why do you upset yourself reading this war-porn.  Take a short holiday, forget about the things you can't change.  You or I will either see tomorrow, or we will not.  Trump is a tool of the Deep State, which has been running things a long time now.  Hillary would be no different .. only she is more likely to set up an open air slavery market in NorK ... like she did in Libya.

let me tell you what i think by basing on some revealition from some writers.
it may seem likee conspiracy but reflects the reality enough.

KIm were is raised by the States and is therefore the man of them. Do you know he have taken his education in overseas, out of n korea.. He is working for the interests of the states in the region. There has been a conflict between Chine and the states ana the states wanna shape the region and on global scale, wanna shape the world.

some things no longer are conspiracy.

Trumpcare was passed by a single vote yesterday, and then went on to say that Australia has a better healthcare system than we do. You know, that universal healthcare Republicans hate so much?

Do you believe anything the MSM writes, or the alt-Media writes, or the claims of any politicians?  The best explanation I have seen is ... that the House wanted to make a BS political statement, and give a little acknowledgement to Trump (who they all hate) ... and the Senate will ignore or kill the House bill in favor of their own ... which will never arrive.  The Republicans could have killed ACA anytime during their 20+ show-boating votes ... but we know that they all receive campaign contributions from the insurance companies.

Trump of course isn't on point with the other Republicans, he is a one-man-band.  And he is good at making random tweets that throw things into confusion (better for the real government in the smoke filled room).  ACA has always been Republican ... they only resent that any Democrat (even a Republican hiding as a Democrat like Obama/Clintons) got any political credit for it.  For example, in Maryland, for 2018 ... one of the ACA sharks have requested a 50% rate increase, on top of what has happened over the last 4 plus years.  The Elite won't be happy, until they have 100% of your income, and 100% of your assets ... because you don't deserve any, you are Deplorable.  We are from France.  And our leadership are Coneheads!

and then what? you think they will be happy after the possess 100% of everything? nope that's when things start to get interesting...

Steel and Ungar says they gonna play pretend good enough to get re-elected in 2018 and then try to fix the problems of Obamacare. They also say that the wall if approved will be tied up in court for so long that Trump's 8 years will be long gone before it gets started (assuming he can get re-elected)

Trump's behavior is so ridiculous that I was willing to take bets that he would get impeached before Christmas, but after seein the behavior of the repos in Congress I think they all fell out of the same Stupid Tree.
