And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality
All alone in desperation now the time has come
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind
Day after day this misery must go on

Its OK, the Green Party in Europe now supports free hookers for poor people ... go to Europe young man (after Horace Greeley 150 years ago).  The only woody you have to relieve is your own ;-))

Hey now, it's not all rainbow's and Sunshine over here.

The lollipop guild has joined the Oompa Loompa's in their consistent strikes, due to the economy you now have pots of silver instead of gold at the end of every Rainbow, mermaids are marching through the Streets topless in protest demanding equal treatment, and the gnome population is getting so old, we can barely maintain their health care leaving right-wing parties to wonder if their three wishes are still worth keeping them alive for.

Gnomes give wishes?  Who knew, trolls?

I am not anti-European ... just that I find that section of the zoo to be more interesting than my corner of the zoo ;-))

People can come up with the most ridiculous ideas ... and even more amazingly, these can sometimes become popular and suffer implementation.  How could the Roman Empire conquer so much, when they didn't even have pasta or tomato sauce yet!

I love action hero penguins in particular ...

I think it was inevitable.  Republicans hate the ACA and are now the party in power.  I've read several articles about why it won't be so easy to get rid of ACA.  I can't remember the reasons, because I always had the feeling I was reading blather.  The only reason I can vaguely remember was that the ACA would have to be replaced by something else, but I don't think it does.  I should think it would be easy to repeal it.  Republican majority in the House, Senate, and White House.  Vote to repeal.  It's gone!

The dark side is that a failure in Obamacare could frighten Democrats away from coming up with healthcare legislation that would have wider approval for a couple of generations.  It may well be dead for anyone over 40.

I didn't know what is ACA. But then I think as I am not living in America, it is not much of a problem.

By the way, this whole thing is very familiar to me.

ACA same as Obama Care = Romney Care = Heritage Foundation Care, a Republican think tank ... Obama is a Republican, as were the majority of D folks in Congress in 2010.  Nixon wanted a national medical system too ... and he was a Republican.  Medicare for All aka Single Payer would have worked.  You still have health insurance companies, acting as the front end to Medicare ... so they aren't totally out of business.  That insulates the patient from the Medicare paperwork.  But people don't want to work for a living, they want to make out like Pirates of the Caribbean ... aargh

I'd settle for a single rainbow at this point.  If you don't have very serious problems involving the criminal system, healthcare, and energy with little/no positive reform in sight you're doing better than us.

Absurd Atheist

That's hilarious. I wonder how widespread this misconception is, and what exactly he thought "Obamacare" referred too.

Probably less widespread than "We don't want socialism, but keep your hands of my Medicare and Social Security."

I enjoyed Kimmel's take on the ACA vs. Obamacare.

jeez the dude really didnt know that aca and obamacare are the same thing... and then people ask how of all the choices we ended up with Trump. fyi medicare part d is a privatized version of the real medicare - but of course you all knew that.

Our European friends seem to be a little confused. American healthcare was royally screwed up before ACA and it is still screwed up after ACA, but in a different way. The dufaces that wrote in (or extremely tricksty insurance agents) some how got the idea in their heads that medical insurance reform by itself would make health care affordable. Lets forget about the insurance companies sitting there approving the thing line by line. If you think medical insurance reform by itself is going to make healthcare affordable you're smoking some good stuff; maybe I should stop by your house and get me some. I hope that if the republicans are going to get to messin around that they at least write a law that is short. That thing was 649? pages long took me a few weeks to read it.

Oh one more thing for our Euopean friends, well actually 2. people in the U.S. ended up in serious financial trouble for medical problems both before and after ACA. There is a major lie going around that people who dont have health insurance are costing the people that do (that is a lie to justify premiums) No, most people in the U.S. that dont have insurance avoid going to the doctor because they know they can't pay. I think it should be a requirement for Congress to go to a few clinic days so they can see how many Americans are walking around with grapefruit size tumors, twisted arms from being broken and long nasty scars from injuries that didnt get looked at by a dr
"Do you believe in god?", is not a proper English sentence. Unless you believe that, "Do you believe in apple?", is a proper English sentence.
