A good description of eternity?
Well I could go on, and on...

Haha ... but eternity isn't about interminable boredom.  It has to do with getting off the clock (treadmill) and enjoying life for its simple pleasures.  7th day in Genesis, aka Shabbat.

In the story line, the humans on Earth had exterminated themselves.  I believe as you define it ... evil = conservative, and destroying yourself is pretty evil, so it must have been conservatives who did it, right?

Must be frustrating where there is scifi, where advanced beings, aren't all atheists ;-)  Certainly Star Wars isn't atheist.

Star Wars is fiction (the willing suspension of disbelief).  And I don't recall Star Wars mentioning a deity.

Atheist born, atheist bred.  And when I die, atheist dead!

Not sure on THE specifics, but THE Jedi and Sith practice a religion by revering 'THE force'.

Yes, it is all rather E-Asian ... until in another movie they deviated from canon and started mentioning "midichlorians".

Some people don't count some E-Asian religions as theistic.

Because Asian religions have things that are kinda like deities, and kinda not, where they exist at all. "Animism" tends to be a closer description than "theism."

One of the wondrous things about thinking about the universe, is the unknown question of if the universe is either infinite, or finite. If it is finite, where does it end, and how can such a thing be explained. And likewise, if it is infinite, how can we wrap our minds around the concept of actual infinity.
