Are we doomed?

It seems we cannot learn from history...are we doomed as a species, because of our tribal instincts?

"If devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality, then there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking. The alleged shortcut to knowledge, which is faith, is only a short-circuit destroying the mind."

On a long enough timeline, we're all doomed.

That's why I converted to kaiju.

Says George Soros.  We can have multiple tribes, we just need to not kill each other over it.  But not of the same tribe per Caligula, who wanted all humanity to share one neck, so he could slash it's throat.  George Soros has a history as a throat slasher.

Doomed = the socialist panacea de sure will not bring on utopia?  Doomed for sure.

Doomed = humanity is simply too stupid and too violent?  Not doomed ... life will be harder for the new generation, but every day I work with members of the new generation, I still have hope, even if I don't see change.

Certain subsects of society would certainly want you to believe so. I don't particularly buy it.

Not doomed, just an especially unstable beta version.

Unstable for sure. I could never understand that 'us vs. them' mentality. The East vs. West, White vs. Black, Muslims vs. Christians a.s.o. We will be extinct like 99% of all species before us, but will it be of our own making? Because of stupid labeling and focusing what separates us instead what unites us, we are in real danger of ending our existence way before nature would end it anyway. The ignorance about Global warming within the new administration and the renewed arms race won't improve our odds either. It's like a slow motion auto destruct movie right in front of our eyes.
I am not a doomsday sayer but reading and watching the news makes me feel very uneasy about our future.

Every day you don't die ... is a miracle.  Get used to that.

The Obama 2016 budget has the increase for nuclear deterrence overhaul ... Trump is just agreeing with it.  Obama is no pacifist.

We do have things in common, but consistency isn't it.  We have inconsistency in common, within and between each other.

So Microsoft was in charge of G-d's creative work?  Perpetual beta ... that explains a lot.  Too bad at some point, a giant "error 404" will shoot across the sky, and we will all disappear.
