Ah yes, Rush Limbaugh is the brain of the Republican party, not Glenn Beck ;-)

Mr Stewart is a media person, so he lacks perspective about his own profession, and competitors in it.  My father's father, was a pioneer of alt-Right media 70 years ago, alt-Right radio in fact.  My mother's father was a KKK member.  But I am not those men (as said by Saladin in The Kingdom of Heaven).  A business partner of my father's father was a pioneer in mass porn, providing the first live broadcast of a man and woman getting it on (I think the partner was the male side of a straight affair).  Media is fascinating, not unlike the recent TV series, Empire.

But what Progressives don't get, outside their own echo chamber, is that there is more than one echo chamber.  Hence the desireability for some to end the US federal experiment, in favor of North American instances of Bantustans/Reservations.  Progressives can have their own reservation, if they want.  And we will put an oil pipeline right thru the middle of it ;-)

All in all, I prefer the liberal progressive forward-looking echo chamber to the reactionary conservative one.  I prefer improving the future to reliving the past, trying new ways to help civilization advance to looking back to "the good old days", and adjusting to change rather than fighting it.
