It's also okay to sell your daughter (no mention of age) to another man (and you know what that means).

If a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant ... If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed ... If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

Well, as per some of the issues raised, getting married and then consummation of the marriage are two separate issues.

In medieval times, the age of consent was 14.  For the whole deal.  But sometimes for dynastic reasons an heir would marry earlier and then not move in with the spouse until both were 14 or more.
